After a few moments, the haze covering her brain lifted. She was completely spent.

Anthony’s fingers on her wrist untied her and then he removed the blindfold. Shaking, he pulled her into his arms. “Well, darling, what did you think of oral sex,” he asked, holding her in his lap.

She felt safe in his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck.

“That was incredible, but I wanted you to take me. I still want you to take me,” she whispered against his shirt.

He chuckled. “Oh, darling, we want that just as much as you do, but we’re waiting.”

With a sigh, she pulled her body up until her knees were shielding her pussy from his sight. She just wanted to curl up here in his arms and go to sleep.

“Is this how it is with all couples?”

Wesley shook his head. “No, we’re lucky.”

She sighed. “I think I’m hungry.”

They both laughed and then he set her on the blanket. She reached for her clothes and Anthony shook his head.

“No, we want to see you. We want to touch you and until we leave to go back to Treasure Falls, you’ll remain naked.”

“Why aren’t you naked?” she asked.

“Because then we would fuck you,” Wesley said. “And we’re determined to wait.”

CHAPTER9

Aweek later, they were on their way to Treasure Falls to pick up Pearl. Wesley had barely slept a wink last night. He’d worried about whether marrying Pearl was the right thing for him to do.

Only one of the men would legally marry Pearl, but the other man would be pledging to be her husband and be saying the vows. Even though his marriage to Pearl would not be legal, it would be a vow he would never break.

As much as he wanted to be her husband, he couldn’t help but worry about his father. Would the man take him away if he got the chance?

How could a man walk away from his son lying in the street, dying?

Anthony had saved him. He felt beholden to the man for getting him the medical attention he needed and for showing him that life could be different.

Now with Pearl, he wanted to stay in Treasure Falls. Create a family with Pearl and Anthony. Watch his children grow up to be good men.

But his father could ruin all of that.

“You’re awfully quiet this morning,” Anthony said.

“Just thinking,” Wesley told him.

“Are you backing out?”

“Oh no,” Wesley said. “I’m still worried about you and Pearl. I don’t want to bring danger to our home.”

If his father had not protected him, who was to say what the man would do if he ever learned he had a wife and children? He’d always accused Wesley of being soft, but Wesley wasn’t and never had been. He just had not been the kind of man his father was – one who took advantage of people and would steal from them if they weren’t watching.

“I understand, but our woman is strong. We’ll teach her to shoot and how to protect herself. If your father comes calling, he better not cause trouble or I’ll take care of him myself.”

Wesley smiled. Anthony was the best man he’d ever met and he hoped their children were more like the older man than him and his group of ruffians he called kin.

“Teaching Pearl to defend herself would make me feel better,” Wesley said. “She needs to know how to shoot and how to hitch a wagon and saddle a horse. What if she needs one of us? She can’t walk out to where we are,” he said.

“Agreed,” Anthony said. “I don’t think we have to worry. Our woman is strong and obviously a very eager learner.”
