“Do you trust me?” he asked, his voice tight and his jaw clenched.
“I do.”
In a blink, I was under him. He dipped his head to tease my nipple with his tongue, pulling out of me in the process. My core clenched at the scrape of his teeth, and I groaned. He released my breast and gave a shallow thrust forward as he moved to lick the other side.
When he’d suckled that one into a hard point, he lifted his head and studied me, slowly easing into me. Tor was big. There was no getting around that. He filled me up to the point of aching. But it was an ache that built a fire inside of me. I could feel each inch of him, every slow thrust in and out.
My eyes kept drifting closed, and he would pause to kiss me senseless until I looked at him again.
“I love your eyes,” he whispered. “They never saw a monster. Only a man.”
“Because that’s what you are.”
I wrapped my arms around his neck and nipped his ear.
He went wild, bracing his weight on one arm and using the other to tilt my hips. Each deep thrust fed the fire. He trembled and shuddered above me, moving faster, our bodies slapping together.
Then suddenly, I was falling without ever standing on the precipice. My mouth opened in a silent scream as I clenched around him and arched. His hungry lips found mine, ravenous in their need to consume every part of me, even the pleasure he gave.
With one final jarring thrust, he came. The hot wash of his release coated my insides. I quivered around him with a gasp and collapsed.
He peppered my cheeks and jaw with little kisses, murmuring words I was too incoherent to understand...until he started moving inside of me again.
I opened my eyes to look up at him.
“Tell me to stop,” he said softly.
“Never.”

Groggy,I left the house just before dawn and almost stumbled down the sidewalk. My legs were sore, and there was an ache deep inside. It twinged with each step.
Tor had asked me repeatedly throughout the night if I was tired and ready to stop. I’d loved what we were doing too much to deny either of us, though. I should have. Oh, how I should have. Instead, when he’d woke me up in my favorite way, I’d whispered that he needed to be extra gentle while I’d played with his ears.
At least, I would have today to recover. I could only imagine the greeting I’d get when I returned.
Ducking my head to hide my smile, I continued toward the wall and waited with the group gathered there. It was a little bigger than the day before. But, I spotted a few familiar faces.
“Morning, Bram.”
“Hey, June. You sure you want to go out again today?”
I gave him a fake-puzzled look.
“Why wouldn’t I? Look around. People are getting braver now that Matt upped our take. Pretty soon we’ll need to draw straws or something for a chance to go out for food. I’m going to stockpile while the getting’s still good.”
“I didn’t think of it that way.”
“What way were you thinking, then?”
He looked around and lowered his voice. “I heard what Nat said to you. Don’t take him lightly, June.”
That simple warning put him on the top of my nice list.
“Thanks. I won’t.”
Anything else we would have said was cut short by the arrival of the fey and Ryan. They came over the wall like a wave. I watched in awe at their agility and felt a pang of longing for Tor. The way he’d considered me as I’d gotten dressed this morning, and his lingering touches had conveyed an echo of what I felt for him. Somehow, someway, he’d become the air I needed to breathe. I craved the feel of his arms around me and his sweet kisses peppering my face. Despite the soreness a night of making love had created, I would willingly get back in that bed if it meant we wouldn’t need to be apart for the day.
