“Yes.”

Luca gripped my hips and turned me. “I love it.” He crowded me. The edge of the table dug into my ass when he stepped between my legs, a thick thigh pressing against me. “God, look at you. So fucking perfect.” His fingers ghosted over my cheek. “I love you, Sasha. I’m going to make you so fucking happy.”

I caught his hand and kissed his palm. “You already do.” Tugging on his suit coat, I brought him down for a kiss. This was where I belonged—safe in his arms.

He squeezed me from hip to ass, his touch harsh and then gentle as he kneaded, moving my body so I was grinding down on his thigh. I rode his leg, fisting my skirt, tugging it until the soft wool of his pants met wet lace.

Moaning, I broke our kiss and tugged on his tie until he swatted my hands away. “Wait,” he grunted, his eyes following the roll of my hips. Shaking his head, he pushed me back. “Follow me.”

“Where are you going?” I said to his back.

“Come on!” he shouted from the front door.

Grumbling, I shuffled off the table, righting my skirt. The door was wide open when I got to the entryway, and Luca smiled at me from the front steps. “What are you doing?”

“We almost forgot an important tradition.”

I paused just inside, my hands on my hips. “What? Announcing it to the neighborhood?” Frankie and Marco leaned against their cars, smoking. “And what are you two doing?”

Frankie cackled, stubbing his cigarette. “We were just leaving.”

“Sasha, come here.” Luca’s tone drew my attention. He crooked his finger, the corner of his mouth pulling up.

I rolled my eyes and stomped down the stairs. “What—Luca!” I squealed as he scooped me up into his arms. “Put me down!”

“No,” Luca laughed, taking the stairs with steady steps, Marco and Frankie’s laughter following us into the house.

Luca kicked the door closed behind him. “There. I carried you over the threshold.” He slowly lowered me to the floor, my body sliding down his, the hem of my dress getting stuck on his belt.

“Oh.” I smiled at him, cupping his cheeks. “Such a romantic.”

His hands skimmed down my back, landing on my ass with a slap. “Always making fun of me.”

“You make it easy.”

“So many things I could say.”

“Shut up!” I swatted his chest and broke away from his grasp, holding my skirt up so he could watch my ass jiggle as I sashayed back to the dining room. Looking over my shoulder, I smiled. “You coming?”

He glanced at the staircase and tilted his head, his forehead scrunching up.

“We covered the cliché tradition. Now let’s do one of our own.”

Luca was at my back in five steps, guiding me to the table. “It’s a hell of a tradition.” He smoothly slid the zipper on my side down, his fingers creeping across my ribs, tickling me. “Fuck, you smell amazing.” Nuzzling my hair, he inhaled deeply, his chest brushing my shoulder blades.

“Mhm.” I shrugged the straps down, the cool air a relief on my heated skin.

“Let me.” Luca took over undressing me, skimming his hands down my sides and legs. “Step out.” I took an exaggerated step toward the table, turning to face him. His gaze traveled down my body as he hung my dress over the back of the chair.

I cocked my hip, dragging the tips of my fingers from my thigh to my cleavage. Luca’s eyes followed the movement as he shrugged off his jacket. “We’re married,” I muttered in disbelief.

Luca worked his tie loose, pulling the silk from his neck and draping it on the growing pile of clothes on the chair. “We are.” Button after button came undone, and tan skin peeked out from in between the stark white dress shirt. My fingers itched to touch him. “You freaking out?”

“Not even a little bit. How about you?” I closed the distance between us, yanking the tails of his shirt from his pants before hooking my fingers in his belt and tugging him closer.

“I would’ve married you that first day.” Luca’s brown eyes were full of honesty, and warmth bloomed in my chest. He traced the top of my bra, dipping between my breasts. I sucked in a trembling breath and looked up at him through my eyelashes. “The minute you came down the aisle, I was done. You were the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen.” He chuckled, dipping his chin to watch his finger follow the white lines on my stomach. “And when we finally spoke, you knocked me on my ass.”

“I was drunk and belligerent.”
