“Fun night Ms. Mitchell?”

“A fucking blast,Pete.” I deadpanned. “What’d I tell you about that Ms. Mitchell shit?”

“Sorry, Ms. Sasha, a force of habit.”

“Mhm. Is Luca home?”

Pete glanced at me in the rearview mirror. “No. I believe he’s still at the office.”

Rage erupted from inside me. That fucker wasn’t at home wallowing in my absence? “Then take me there.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

I leaned between the front seats. “Well, I don’t really give a fuck.”

A short car ride and I was out front of Luca’s office building. Taking the elevator, I used the silver doors to straighten myself out. Post-show Sasha was hot but add in being shit-faced, and it was a mixed bag.

The doors slid open to a dark floor, with only two still-lit offices—Luca’s and Nicki’s.

Strutting toward Luca’s office, hushed voices met my ears. Much like that afternoon, Nicki sat far too close to Luca, but this time his face was resting in his hands.

“Well, this iscozy.”

My voice shattered the serene scene on the couch. Luca jumped away from Nicki, red-eyed and his hair and clothes disheveled. Nicki was as perfect as ever, not a hair out of place.

“Sasha, you’re here.” He lookedat me in disbelief, his eyes never straying from my face.

Motion from the couch pulled my focusbacktoNicki.Anger bubbled up in my stomach because she was witnessing this weak moment. She had no right being in our fucking business. If looks could kill, that bitch would’ve been drawn, quartered, and served to a cannibal.

Noticing my glare, Nicki cleared her throat, andshe slipped her heels back on. “Excuse me.”

She tried to leave the room, but I wouldn’t move. Instead, I made her squeeze through a tiny crack of space.I wanted her to feel every ounce of discomfort I felt when she was around.

Petty? Probably.Did I care? Fuck no.

When we were finally alone, I spoke. “So,this is why you stay late so much? Couch time with Nicki?”

Luca’s eyes darted in between me and the couch until realization dawned on him. His hands gestured between himself and the spot Nicki had just sat. “What? No! Never. I didn’t want to go home if you wouldn’t be there, and Nicki saw the light on when she was leaving. She was checking to see if I was okay, nothing more. I will always come home to you, baby. I don’t want anyone else.”

Nodding, I waltzed over to the couch and sat down. Guilt stabbed at my stomach. “I guess people in glass houses shouldn’t throw things or whatever.”

Luca frowned as he joined me on the couch. “What are you talking about?” Leaning forward, he took my hands. His nose scrunched up at the smell of alcohol on me. “Are you drunk?”

I giggled. “Yep.”

He sighed as he squeezed my hands, his thumbs rubbing small circles on my skin. “Tell me what happened, baby.”

Tears filled my eyes. I’d never felt this way before, so fucking weak for someone else. “I got drunk and almost let Jazz kiss me. Well, she did kiss me, but not the way I was going to let her. You know?”

Luca’s body tensed, a scowl taking over his features, but he didn’t drop my hands. If anything, his grip tightened. “No,I don’t know. Explain it to me.” His voice was sharp and cold.

“I felt like shit,Luca.” I noticed his jaw relax as his eyes softened. “Jazz listened to me complain, and then I almost let her kiss me, but I didn’t.” I rushed out the last bit, not wanting to leave Luca with any doubt. “When I was leaving, she gave me a peck goodbye. Like this.”I gave Luca a quick peck. A small smile tugged at the side of his mouth.

“So,it wasn’t a kiss like this?”

Leaning over, he pressed his lips gently to mine, but it wasn’t long until his hands were in my hairand our tongues were tangling with each other. I pushed up the hem of my skirt and straddled his lap.

One of his hands squeezed my ass while the other gripped the back of my neck possessively. I rolled my hips, enjoying the rough texture of his trousers against my lace-covered sex.
