Can ghosts die twice? If these two stick around one another long enough, we may eventually find out.

“And what’s your name?” Ruiner asks, hostility dripping from his lips.

“Malace Hyde,” he answers, as confused as he always seems to be in life.

A hum of thought slips from Ruiner’s lips, but he shakes it away.

“The girls think that’s cute?” From over my head, Ruiner side-eyes Malace’s crotch with a sneer.

“It’s nine and a half inches, mate. Hardly something I’d callcute.”

The scoff that falls from Ruiner’s lips is something I’ve never heard before. “Nine and a half. That’s fucking adorable.”

During their pissing contest, my mouth falls open hard as I try to make sense of just how big Ruiner’s cock must truly be. It’s terrifying. It’s not a dick. It’s a weapon. And my pussy isn’t ready to be murdered.

I make a mental note to slow things way—wayyyy—fucking down between Ruin and me. I also make a note then and there when the sudden realization falls over me that I’m standing naked between two of the most alluring men I’ve ever met. Ruiner’s thumbs skim back and forth along my flesh, shivering sensations all through my body. It’s just enough to pull my attention back to the real issues at hand.

“You two have to go. Ivy’s going to be here any minute, and I can’t greet her like a nude goddess when she gets here.”

Malace’s brows lift high when I look back at him, his gaze rising to meet my eyes instead of my ass.

“Right,” he says with an empty nod.

I slip from between them and start pulling on my clothes. When my head lifts from tying my shirt, I find both men watching me with hungry gazes.

I’m used to it. Or... I should be, anyway. Men would stare at my naked curves without shame every Saturday night at the club. This is no different. But then why does Ruin and Malace’s attention flush heat across my face so fast?

When I’m fully clothed, I take a seat on my bed, and I curl my legs up beneath me. Ruiner’s hand lifts to the door knob, but he doesn’t leave immediately.

“I wanted to check on you tonight. I need you to be careful. I—I can’t leave the kingdom yet, but I’ll get you out of here. Soon.”

He doesn’t explain about the king’s suspicion of me, and I don’t tell him I know. I just nod to him and try not to dwell on what will happen to either of us if Leavon remembers exactly who I am.

“Just stay under the radar for the next few days, okay?”

I nod again, and he finally opens the door. Just to let it click closed. In two storming steps, he’s towering over me. His hands slide down my arms, and I lift my head to him like warm sunlight is basking across my skin. Bright eyes dip to my lips. He presses a chaste kiss to the top of my head.

A held breath meets my lungs as he walks away.

He pulls the door open once more but glares to the man still lingering in my bedroom.

“You said your last name was Hyde?”

“Yeah.”

He doesn’t say another word. He closes the door abruptly behind him.

“He’s kind of an asshole, don’t you think?”

I fall back against my soft pillow and let my eyes fall closed to Malace’s blunt question. The tingling sensation of what the three of us did just moments ago trembles through my body like a memory I hope I never forget.

Because we all know it’ll never happen again.

The door flies open, right through Malace’s body, and Ivy skips into the room with the biggest smile.

“Oh my god, Bella! I have got to tell you everything!”

“I guess I’m still mostly invisible then...” Malace says sadly to himself as the door is thrown through him once more and closes with a click.
