“Because of our circles, brother. Apparently, you have to be of a certain status to know about that layer of the club.”
“How is this place the thing you’re looking for, for you and Corinne?” DeAndre asked.
“Couples are allowed to explore together. They can add people to their party or explore alone.”
“When you say add people to the party, you mean—”
“Threesomes, orgies, whatever type of party you wish to have.”
“Wait a minute,” Hunter interjected, “Are you looking to add people to your party?”
Xavier frowned. “Hell no. Man, do you know how freaky my wife is? No one could compare. I wouldn’t even set myself up for that type of disappointment, not to mention the divorce papers I’d have to sign if I ever considered it.”
“But have you considered it?” DeAndre asked.
Exasperated, Xavier cut his eyes at DeAndre. “I said no.”
Lance chuckled. “That man’s whipped.”
Xavier twisted his lips. “I know your ass is not talking.”
Laughter oozed around them as Lance held up his hands.
“I am, but aren’t I always?”
“He’s got a point,” Hunter said, taking the last swig of his champagne.
“So,” DeAndre slipped his free hand inside his pants pocket. “You’re considering exploring The Den with Corinne to spice up your love life?”
“To give us different intimate experience.”
They all nodded then Kyle asked the question they were all wondering.
“How do you think Corinne will respond to your wishes?”
“I hope that our wishes will align.”
Mumbles soared around the group, and Xavier nodded.
“I know. It’s risky, but only because it’s a public place, and with the strip club being the cover, the overall cleanliness of a place like this is uncertain.”
“For sure,” Kyle said.
Xavier shrugged. “The only way I’ll know is if I ask her about it. What’s the worst that can happen?”
DeAndre groaned, and Xavier looked at him. “What?”
“She could question you to death.”
“Questions are good.”
“We’re talking about a Black woman’s questioning here.” Confused, Xavier peered at DeAndre, and he continued. “They’re thorough.”
“Thorough questions are good. Then we can get any misunderstandings out of the way.”
Kyle shook his head. “He means questions like, how did you find out? Have you visited? That can lead to are you seeing someone else—type of questions.”
Xavier thought it over, frowned, then shook his head. “No. She would never suspect that from me.”
