She sits up suddenly and gracefully hooks a leg around mine, guiding me to lie on my back. “I really am so proud of you. You deserve this.”
“It’s going to be a lot of work.”
Viv lifts a brow. “And you’ll handle it with ease.”
“I’ll be gone a lot.”
She smiles softly and says, “Well, then we’ll have to make the most of our time together.”
I swear to God and all that will listen, I am in love with this woman.
She rips her shirt off her head, and as I suspected when I was trying to get a peek, she’s not wearing a bra.
I stare up at her, fully naked except for her panties and I just let my eyes devour her as I grow in my jeans.
She feels me and starts to take my pants off, I kick off my boots before she gets there and sit up, removing my shirt before pulling her back down with me and flipping us back over. I stare down at this woman and memorize the details of her face for the thousandth time.
“I love being with you,” I tell her quietly but confidently.
Her eyes soften. “I love being with you, too.”
I take her lips in a greedy kiss and help us both out of our underwear until we’re both fully naked. I lie over her and when I finally enter her, her breathy moans filter through the air and my slight grasp on control waning, I allow myself to fall completely in love with her.
Chapter Thirty-Five
“Guys need cuddles too. It’s not exclusive to a gender. How would you feel if you just didn’t get hugged because you had a penis? Shitty, that’s how.” – Derek
VIVIANA
I glance around at the overly lavish ballroom and smile. It is gorgeous, that is for sure. I came mostly in support of Jane, whose company was holding this particular event to raise money for the homeless shelter that she loves.
But I also came because Cyrus and Lillian are here and it never hurts to put on a good front for the bosses.
It’s been two weeks since I’d become an official employee of Hansen Marketing and I was loving it so far. They really created a fun atmosphere at their offices.
I’d also gone to Cyrus and explained that I had two clients who were my own. After talking it out, he agreed to let me keep them as private clients so long as the work didn’t interfere with the work I did at Hansen, but going forward, any new clients I had to bring to them.
I understood, but it still felt weird to essentially hand all of that business over to them. I was also bummed all those friends I made last time I visited Fall Springs would have to go through the agency.
Such is life, I guess.
I glance at my phone screen again and frown at the lack of calls.
Archer was supposed to be here thirty minutes ago and never even called. I hate not knowing where he is, or if he is okay.
I find a quiet corner in the room and dial his number again, but after ringing five times, it goes to voice mail and I hang up. I text him,Are you okay?
Part of me is pissed he’s stood me up. We’d been planning on coming for a week and he even had his suit pressed. I was wearing a silver dress that hugged every curve of my body that April called “bootylicious” when she dressed me earlier tonight.
Another part of me is worried something bad happened to him and he can’t get to his phone.
“Hey, Viv.” I glance back to see Warren and Jane and give them grateful smiles. At least I wouldn’t be here alone.
“Hey, guys,” I say, giving them both hugs and watching as Warren grabs a couple of flutes of champagne off the tray.
“You look like you could use a drink.” He winks, handing me the flute which I take gratefully.
“Yeah, thanks.”
