“No, I asked her to help me convince you to change your course.” I turn to Sky and find that she looks just as confused as I do.
“Our fates are sealed––.” Cass cuts Sky off.
“No, they are not, Belle is…a loophole to nature. What she can do means she can alter…destiny I guess you would call it, but it costs her each time. She thinks I don’t know but every time she has a vision––.”
“That’s enough Cassius!” I spin around to find a seething Belle standing there with her fists clenched at her sides glaring at her brother, her angry mask doesn’t fool me, I can see the betrayal in her eyes.
“Gabrielle––.”
“No Cass, that is not your story to tell! You promised me you would never say a word to anyone.” The watery tone of her voice tells me that she is close to tears, a pained look crosses Cass’s face.
“You can’t do this; I won’t let you, and nor will dad.” She throws her hands in the air.
“Where is dad now Cassius, hmm? He isn’t here to stop them,” She points in our direction. “Or to stop me, I’ll do this so they can let us go, I will not risk you, Blake or Hunter, do you understand me?” Cass’s shoulders droop as he approaches her, he lays his big hands on her shoulders and stares down at her with a pitying look.
“This is too much Belle; I don’t know how to bring you back if––.”
“Enough Cass, we will figure it out, we always do big brother.” She steps out of his hold and runs her gaze over each of us before finally settling it on me. “I’ll tell you what I saw, do whatever you want me to, but youdo notever use my brothers again. You have my word that I will not fight you or try to escape if you allow my brothers their freedom.”
“Gabrielle––.” I cut Cass off.
“Agreed.”
“We won’t leave her; she is our kin and my brothers and I will fight to the death for our sister.” I smirk at the big fucker.
“I would expect nothing less but, she still stays with me until…I say.” I can see that he wants to fight me on this but relents when Belle grips his hand and begins to lead him from the room.
They are hiding something.
I know Sky, I guess we have our secrets and they have theirs.
We need to figure out what she is hiding, it must be big if her brother came to us.
“Whatever shit you are into Cairo it better not blow back on my pack.”
“I’m just upholding the promise I made to your mate.” He scoffs at my reply.
“What the hell does she have to do with anything? Does Davina know she is here?” I glower at him; his eyes widen just a fraction, but I catch it before he schools his features. “You idiot, she is going to find out that she is here.”
“Not if you don’t tell her!” I grit out.
“Alexander is after her.” Creed hisses, Jess places a hand on his chest trying to calm him, but it doesn’t work.
“I know, we need to find out why and what part Davina plays in all of this!”
“Don’t lie to me Cairo, there is more to this than just Davina wanting the girl. I knew it from the moment you agreed to help her track Belle down, the only thing that has me stumped is why?”

“She is only here to help us locate the council, nothing more, you are reading way too much into this. I’m going to bed; I suggest you both do the same.” I turn and follow Sky out of the room but pause at my sister’s words.
“You either tell her the truth or I will.” I grunt in reply.
My back and neck are stiff from sleeping in the chair, I refused to share a bed with the she devil. She isn’t here for my enjoyment much to Bex’s dismay, she has a purpose and once that is fulfilled then she will be sent packing back to her father. I watched her sleep for longer than I want to admit, when I came back to the room, she was fast asleep with her brother standing guard, I kicked his ass out and locked the door. I know they will try and flee the first chance they get which is why I left a couple of my guys behind to…watch her father. He was way to calm to let his whole bloodline leave with me, how does she not know the truth? How has she lived as one of them for so many years and never killed? The vibration of my phone pulls me from my thoughts, I fish it out of my pocket and stifle a groan.
