Fuck.

He clasps his hands in front of him, bouncing his eyes to Shoshanna, breaking one of his own rules to not engage with another man’s property. But he knows she isn’t my submissive. “I think this man is in need of a doctor,se?”

My blood sets to a boil.

My smile twists, but I hold it still.

“You have been lying to me.” He takes two steps towards us. “Playing the girl off on being someone she isn’t. I know who is important to my boys. I care. This is the lovelyShoshanna Adel.. . “

Fuck.

Stay calm.

“Why are you lying to me?” He sighs roughly. “Now, if you weren’t like a son to me,se?I might be angrier. I wasn’t sure what I was seeing when the girl walked in with you. She looked very. . .affectedby you.”

I can feel Shoshanna right behind me, can smell her, but I won’t take my arrowed eyes off him. “I hope I affect her. What are you getting at, mate?”

“I needed to see for myself,” he says, knowing eyes zeroing in on me. I hold the fucker’s stare. “Now I have, and well. . . the girl is either, an excellent performer. . .verysensual. I very much enjoyed it. Or if I didn’t know any better, I’d say she loves you, my boy.” He smiles widely, opening his arms. “And I’m a romantic. So that makes me very happy. Of course, you should keep her. But that means we need to tie up loose ends,se?Not good for business.”

Her breathing gets heavier behind me.

I let this play out.

This isn’t about the diamonds.

Dominic’s words feed through the distant laughter I hear in my head.“Jimmy knows everything. Everything.”

“You know she has a fiancé,se?He claims that you kidnapped her. Now, luckily for you, your uncle Jimmy has been. . .watchingthe whole situation. I’ve been keeping an eye on her for you. It is a good thing, se.This could have been very bad for the Family. For Clay. This attention. It’s not good for him. It’s not good for us.”

Keeping an eye on her for me. . .I force my smile to linger, a tight-lipped curve that hides a snarl. “You, sly old dog.” Shaking my head with feigned amusement, I force out, “Mate, she’s here willingly, aren’t you baby?”

Silence.

Then a small voice breathes, “Yes.”

At the sound of that small voice, rage slashes through me like a fucking machete. I hate her voice small. I lower my head, staring at Jimmy through my lashes, shaking violently with restrained rage. But I smile.I fucking smile!

“Bellissimo,” Jimmy coos. “I want love for you, my boy. I want to see you happy.”

I grin harder, ready for anything. I know you, Jimmy. What the fuck do you have planned? My eyes dart back around the room, calculating my first kill and my second.

Last will be him. . .

The man who taught me everything I know.

Jimmy eyes me quietly and then signals a guard. My gaze moves from him to a door as it slowly opens.

My smile falls.

Shoshanna’s gasp sails through the air behind me.

Entering alongside one of Jimmy’s hired help, is Dr Clean. He walks up to stand beside Jimmy, as though he knows the man and my blood runs scorching hot. He has no idea.

Looking Shoshanna over, he sneers in disgust at her outfit, and my hands convulse with the need to slice those lips from his face.

“I saw you in the sauna with him,” Dr Clean hisses. “Your poor sister won’t like where I send her.”

I don’t turn to see her expression, can’t turn. But fucking ay, I’m going to finish that mother fucker right now.
