"I know what you mean."

"Good."

She looked down at my crotch, and her eyes widened as I pulled her toward me and pressed my hardness into her. She gasped slightly as it pushed against her stomach.

"Well, well," she said, laughing.

"Well, well, indeed." I groaned and jumped back. This was going in a direction that I wasn’t quite ready for. We obviously had a history that had left us both hanging, and I didn’t know if I was being stupid by flirting and being seductive without discussing that history.

Chapter18

Alice

"So what happened last night?" Molly asked as we shared a bag of donut holes and drank our coffees.

"What do you mean?" I said innocently, trying not to smile too widely.

"Girl, don't play coy with me. I saw those bedroom eyes that Foster was giving you. Tell me what happened."

"Nothing," I said. "Well, I mean, something ... but not what you think happened."

"You don't know what I'm thinking," Molly said, her blue eyes laughing at me as she grabbed another donut hole.

"Hey, is that the cinnamon sugar?" I said, swatting her hand.

"Yeah. Why?"

"You're eating all the cinnamon-sugar ones, and they're the best."

"There are jelly-filled and chocolate too."

"The chocolate ones aren't good." I wrinkled my nose.

"Stop trying to change the subject, Alice." She dropped the cinnamon-sugar donut hole back into the box and grabbed a chocolate one. "There you go."

"Thank you," I said and grabbed it up quickly before she changed her mind.

"Now, tell me what happened?"

"Nothing. He just gave me the lap dance."

"Was it sexy?"

I bit down on my lower lip, thinking about how Foster had thrust his hips into me. I nodded. "Very."

"Did he get naked-naked?"

"No, he didn't get naked-naked"—I laughed—"though I kind of wanted him to."

"Oh, you dirty girl," she said. "Why didn't you just pull his briefs off or his boxers or whatever he was wearing?"

"Because I didn't want us to end up going too far or having a really awkward moment."

"Okay. If a guy's thrusting on top of you in his boxer briefs, and I'm thinking he was probably ..." She raised an eyebrow and paused.

I grinned. "Yes, he was."

"So he was hard." She laughed.
