"Yeah, very Wicked Witch of the West."

"Oh, you think I look like a witch?"

"No. No. No," I said quickly. "I mean, wasn't the Wicked Witch of the West the good one? The really pretty one? The..."

I looked over, and I could see Alice's lower lip trembling. She was trying not to laugh. "I think it looks very cool," Alice said finally. "A statement piece. Are you an artist or...?"

"I'm many things, dear." Amelia looked her up and down. "And you're the sister?"

"No. I'm the sister's best friend," Alice responded with a small smile.

"Well, it was good seeing you, Amelia. We should chat. Maybe we could get a coffee sometime next week."

"Sure," she said. "We can have a nightcap at my place after we have some fun." She winked at me again.

I let out a deep sigh and shook my head. "I'll be in touch."

"Okay. Well, see you later, big boy." She walked away from the table, and then Rosalie hissed at me.

"Oh my God, Brother, you were desperate enough to sleep with her? She..."

"Rosalie, be careful with your words. Be nice."

"What? I'm just saying." She shook her head. "She's horrible, and... I mean, really horrible. She's almost as bad as Diana was."

I looked over at Oliver, and he grinned. Diana was a woman Oliver had been seeing who tried to make Rosalie believe he was cheating on her.

"Yeah, well, he's not with Diana, and I'm not with Amelia."

I looked over at Alice. "So Alice, how is—"

"Alice is on the dating apps," Rosalie interrupted, "and I think I found her a really good guy."

"What?" I said, frowning. "What are you talking about?"

"I helped her swipe because she was being way too picky, and we're going to go to an event tonight."

"We are?" Alice blinked, looking confused. "What event?"

"The dating app has a speed dating event tonight, and we're going."

"I didn't know about this," Alice said, confused.

"And neither did I." Oliver looked a little bit upset. "Why are you going to a speed dating event? I mean, you're my fiancée."

"What? Oh my gosh, Oliver, and I love you." Rosalie gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'm not going for me. I'm going for Alice."

"But you're actually going to be attending the event," he said, frowning.

"I think it sounds like an absolutely awful idea," I added.

"Me, too," Alice said, wrinkling her nose. "I don't know about a speed dating event."

"It'll be fun. We got to get you out there. You don't want to meet guys like Foster who hook up with you and then just stop talking to you, so utterly tacky and rude." My sister stared at me. "Really, Foster?"

"You know what, Rosalie?"

I was about to tell her off when the server approached. "Here are your truffle fries and the calamari. I will bring out the other dishes as they're ready."
