Hell, so did he.
“Which way is your room?” he asked.
“This way.” Interlacing their fingers, she turned and led him down the short hallway to a bedroom made for comfort. Everything in it was soft and plush and inviting from the frilly white bedspread to the low-wattage lightbulbs, to the queen-sized mattress loaded with pillows.
She led him to the bed.
He didn’t resist. He wanted this too much to put up a fight and she seemed to want it just as badly as he did. Her knees were trembling. Hell. So were his.
“Let’s get comfortable,” she invited.
“Are you sure?” he asked, meeting her gaze, searching her eyes.
“I wouldn’t have brought you in here if I wasn’t. Areyousure, Roan?”
“Okay.” He chuckled. “I can see how annoying that sounds.”
Her smile engulfed him and warmed his heart. Throwing him a sultry look, she wriggled out of her jeans.
Roan sucked in his breath at the sight of her black lace panties. Not only because she was the sexiest thing he’d ever laid eyes on but also because he wanted so much more from her than sex.
She clicked her tongue and shook her head. “Hey, no fair. You’re still dressed.”
He unsnapped his jeans.
She watched his every move.
Slowly, he eased down the zipper.
She touched the tip of her tongue to her upper lip. Gulped.
He eased his pants down, casting suggestive glances her way as he went.
Jazzy made impatient noises.
Roan slowed down on purpose.
“Stop torturing me!”
He widened his grin and moved even slower.
“Need some help?” Her grin matched his own and she came toward him. Before he could answer, she dropped to her knees in front of him.
He took off his jeans, and kicked them across the room to join hers on the floor. They were both pantless but still in their underwear and shirts.
“Now, isn’t that better?”
“Depends on your definition ofbetter.”
Her gaze drifted to his direction. Her smile turned wicked and then she looked up to meet his eyes. “Let’s get this party started.”
They finished undressing. Giggling, Jazzy scrambled onto the bed, bouncing like a teenager and patted the spot beside her. Roan joined her. They wrapped their arms around each other’s waists and plunged deep into the mattress.
“Kiss me,” she begged. “Kiss me like it’s the end of the world.”
She didn’t need to ask twice, because Jazzy changed everything in his world. Roan covered hermouth with his and she clutched him in a frantic embrace.
Finally, Jazzy let out a soft hiss and wriggled away.
