Page 25 of Ecstasy Captured

The sun peeks through our drapes as I sit up and watch my beautiful woman sleep. It’s almost ten, and I’m still tired, but I couldn’t sleep with the fear that she’d disappear on me again. It’s fucked up, but she has a hold on me that no one else ever could. A soft moan followed by a sighing stretch lets me know I can finally hear her voice. “Good morning, Candy.”

“Good morning, Sebastian,” she says, a yawn dragging out her words.

When her light brown eyes open, I’m greeted with a huge smile. “How are you feeling, Hermosa?”

“I’m good.” She quickly sits against the headboard, letting the sheets fall from her naked body. Her hands reach out to touch me, but my eyes are glued to her sizeable tits that bounce with the movements. “It’s you I’m worried about. How is the cut?”

I grip her hands, stopping her before bringing them to my lips for a kiss. We have a lot to unpack after yesterday—and frankly, from the past two months—so I have to fight all the driving lust that looking at her brings. “It’s nothing, but that’s something we need to discuss.”

She stills and then nervously pulls her hands from mine. “What do you mean?”

“The bitch in the basement,” I muttered, unsure of her reaction.

She rolls her eyes and huffs, “Ohher.” Goodness, I should have just killed the broad and left it at that, so my woman doesn’t even have to worry about it.

“I’m guessing you don’t want to deal with her at all.”

“No way in hell,” she snaps, crossing her arms. “Actually, better yet, I’d like to gut her myself.”

“If that’s what you want, I’ll let you have at her, but I want you to be sure because killing is not for everyone.”

Her hand presses against my chest well above my injury and then lays her head down to listen to my heart. “No one hurts you and gets away with it.” I stare into her eyes, and I see something there I hadn’t seen before. Darkness. A blood-thirsty desire for revenge.

“Fuck, you’ve got me rock hard with your vengeance.”

“Is there anything that doesn’t get you hard?”

“Anything that could hurt you. Speaking of hurting you. What happened to your birth father?” A pained expression crosses her face that upsets me, knowing I’m opening a wound.

“What about him? Do you know him?” She cocks her brow up at me with curiosity and interest.

Her reaction tells me more than she knows. “Have you even met Carlino before?”

“No. I never met the man because he wanted to keep it a secret, so his wife never learned about me. That’s how she made all that money to spoil herself over the years.”

“And yet you lived in a small trailer?” I can easily guess that it never included proper care for Candy.

“Yeah. Well, my mother had expensive habits. It’s why she named me Candy in the first place. You know, nose candy.”

“Are you fucking serious?”

“Yes. I hated my name before, but…” she hesitates, ducking her head into my chest.

“But what?” I ask, tilting her chin, so she looks up at me with those eyes that steal my soul every single time.

“The way you say it, I get so turned on that I forget why I hate it.” The pretty pink on her cheeks does something to my heart that I hadn’t understood until she stepped into that hotel bar.

“Good because, my wife, you’re my favorite candy, my sweetest candy, and I want you to know that I love you more than anything.” My lips brush against hers softly, once, twice, and then I flip her onto her back and maul my wife.

When I finally let her come up for a breath, she says. “I love you too, Sebastian. I loved you in spite of myself and my own safety.”

“I’d never harm you.” I brush her cheek with the tips of my fingers.

“No, just yourself.”

“I can’t stop touching you, my sweet wife.” My mouth glides down her throat, trailing kisses.

“I’m not your wife yet,” she adds, tilting her head to give me more room to move lower.
