“Don’t tell me you can do that with all our rooms?” I stare at her through narrowed eyes.

She purses her lips together. “Perhaps.”

“How?” Eva asks, looking equally dumfounded.

“I may have bribed the secretary to program my key for all four rooms.”

I gasp. “That’s a complete violation of privacy.”

Nat shakes her head. “It’s not like I’d use it to snoop through your stuff. It’s just if I need to get in for any reason.” She shrugs. “You know me. I always like to be prepared.”

I sigh as it’s true. Nat is not only the biggest nerd at the academy when it comes to school work, she’s also irritatingly prepared all the time. “Fair enough. Let’s just pick a film.”

My phone buzzes and I pull it out, expecting a text from Adrianna.

Instead, it’s a message from the withheld number.

I hope you are thinking about me tonight while lying in your bed.

Grinding my teeth together, I put my phone back in my pocket. “Anyone heard from Adrianna yet?”

Eva shakes her head. “No, maybe she really is giving in to Archer.”

As if like clockwork, the door swings open. “No fucking chance. How could you even think that?” she asks, hands on her hips. “And more importantly. How the fuck did you get in here?”

Nat laughs. “Good timing, we’re just about to put Bridesmaids on.”

I roll my eyes. “Turns out Nat has a clone of all our room keys.”

“What?” Adrianna asks, glaring at Nat. “That’s an invasion of privacy.”

I chuckle. “Exactly what I said.”

Eva shrugs. “I’m not really bothered, as I hardly use my room.”

“I just like to be prepared for any eventuality. This way, you lose your key, you can still get in,” Nat says, trying to defend herself.

Adrianna sighs heavily and shakes her head, slumping down on the sofa next to me. “I haven’t got the energy right now to argue.”

“What did Coach want?” I ask.

Her cheeks redden and she clenches her jaw. “To be a fucking asshole, as always.”

“He’s still trying to get you in bed?” Eva questions.

Adrianna just nods.

“Forget that dickhead,” Nat says, pouring out some popcorn into bowls and throwing a bag of candy at us. “It’s out last night here for two weeks. Let’s forget about him.”

I know she’s talking about Coach Daniels, but in extension, it feels like I should try to forget about Gavril.

A feat that is practically impossible, as he seems to rule every waking second of my thoughts.

When we got involved, he made it clear it would be nothing more than sex, and I agreed.

And yet, right now, I know this is deeper for me. I can feel him sinking his claws in so deep I won’t be able to get them out, no matter how hard I try.
