He growls at that, fists balled as if he wants to have a punch up with me or anyone in the immediate vicinity. “She’ll regret this, mark my words.”
It’s exactly the same thing I was thinking about Camilla as I sit in my seat and take a bite of my squashed hot dog. The punishment I intend to dole out to her for attending anything with any other man is going to be epic. If she believes that she’s seen how sadistic I can get, then she’s wrong on so many levels.
The rage only feeds the darkness. A darkness that has a mind of its own. Since that fated day at the strip club, I haven’t felt it this close to the surface, demanding to break free, which is proof enough that Camilla is a danger I should have steered clear of.
I watch as she leans toward Rizzo. “I’m going to head to the bathroom. Do you want another drink while I’m up?”
He turns his head toward her for the first time since I sat down. “Sure, sounds good.” And then he turns his attention back to the game, although steals a quick glance at Rosa first, who appears to be doing everything in her power not to look in his direction.
Camilla stands and shimmies her way out of the aisle and the darkness rises inside of me. Run, malishka, because I’m going to hunt you down and find you.
Her second biggest mistake of the day is leaving her seat, as there’s nothing that could stop me from following her and punishing her right here and now. She won’t know what has hit her by the time I’m through with her.

CAMILLA
My heart is hammering erratically as I rush into the ladies’ bathroom and into the first cubicle, slamming the door behind me and resting my back against it.
What are the chances?
I agreed to come to this with Rizzo because he’s Elias’ friend and I don’t want my friends to get suspicious about why I’d turn down one of the hottest boys in school.
And now the professor I’ve been sleeping with is sitting right behind us, glaring daggers into the back of my head. The door to the ladies’ bathroom swings open and I freeze, listening. I don’t know why I suspect he’ll follow me, but I just do. He’s that crazy.
The moment I hear the lock on the back of the door click into place, I know it’s him.
“I think you need punishing, Miss Morrone.” There’s a lethal tone to his voice, one that sends a shiver of fear trailing across my exposed flesh. “I thought I made it clear that you belong to me.”
I wet my too dry lips before speaking. “You stated in no uncertain terms that sex is merely a transaction for you.”
“It is, but while I’m sleeping with a sub, I expect her to be loyal to me and only me.”
I laugh. “I’m just at a hockey match. It’s not like I’m sucking Rizzo’s cock.”
He growls then and slams a hand hard into the cubicle door, making it shudder on its hinges. “Out now.”
The thought of facing him when he’s like this makes me sick to the stomach, especially here when my friends are out in the crowd, waiting for me to return. “I’m afraid I’m not finished.”
“Don’t make me break the fucking door down, Camilla.” He shakes it again so hard I hear the hinges groan. “There’s nothing that can keep me away from you. Do you understand?”
Swallowing the fear attempting to rise up my throat, I reach for the lock and pull it across, intending to pull open the door, but Gavril doesn’t give me a chance.
He yanks it open and then steps into me, his fingers wrapping around my throat so fast I hardly see him move. “What kind of game are you playing?”
I open my mouth to respond, but nothing comes out, as he’s choking me too hard. Panic rises inside of me like a tidal wave, ready to crash against the shore and leave destruction in its wake.
My head swims as he slowly starves me of oxygen, glaring at me with such uncontrollable rage I wonder if he really would take this too far and choke the life out of me. It’s the moment that thought enters my mind that he releases his grasp slightly, allowing me the opportunity to draw in oxygen.
I stare at him in disbelief. “Are you trying to kill me?”
He tilts his head. “No, but you need to learn your lesson.”
I feel relief as his fingers leave my skin, but I know from the look in his eye that this is far from over. Glancing at my watch, I say, “I need to get back or—”
He slams his palm against the doorway to block my exit. “You are going nowhere until I say so.”
“Someone will come looking for me if I’m too long.”
