“What are you talking about?”

“You set off the silent alarm.”

My eyes widened. “Oh my God. Did I wake Liam?”

“Relax. The alerts are diverted to my phone when I’m staying here.” His infuriating and arousing smirk returned. “I was pleasantly surprised when I checked the cameras.”

I spun around in the water, squinting into the dark corners of the room. “There are cameras?!”

His grin widened. “Unfortunately, it was too dark to see anything of interest.”

“I’ll get out.” I waded to the ladder.

“Why? You clearly need the practice.”

My mouth fell open as I whirled back to meet his playful smile.

“You need to straighten your legs when you’re kicking.”

“They are straight!”

“Here, I’ll show you.” He tore off his t-shirt and shorts, then jumped into the water in his boxer briefs—hiswhiteboxer briefs.

Before I could protest, he shot through the pool, pushing me sideways with his wake. If it wasn’t for his muscular arms pounding through the water, I would’ve scrambled for safety, but I was completely entranced.

His perfect strokes glided him to the end of the pool and back before resurfacing with a shake of his wet hair. My speeding heart was well ahead of my slow-motion vision. He was fucking Poseidon.

“Well, you need to rotate your body more,” I uttered as I tried to repel all the dirty thoughts racing through my mind.

Adam’s eyebrows drew together. “I do not.”

I chortled. “And that’s why Summerhill never made it all the way.”

“Oh really?” His lips pursed as he waded toward me.

“Yep. Too damn cocky.” I paddled back to keep him at the same distance.

“Cocky?” His eyebrow arched as he edged closer.

“You know the kind…rich…arrogant…”

“Your next words better beincredibly good looking.”

I held back my smile. “I was going to go with…mediocre.”

“Oh…” He snickered. “You’re in trouble.”

Adam’s pupils dilated before he launched my way, sending me squealing through the water.

In my attempt to swim away, he grabbed hold of my ankle and pulled me backward until my back slammed against his chest.

“Okay! Good looking!” I cried out as Adam clutched my sides, intuitively knowing how ticklish I was.

“Just good?” His deep voice in the shell of my ear sent tingles through my body.

“Mmhmm.”

When his fingers tightened at my futile attempt to wriggle out of his grasp, I burst out laughing. “Okay, okay! Great! The best! Fucking incredible!”
