“What message?”

“The one where you said we were going to Scilly … I read it as Sicily.”

Noah squinted at her. “You thought we were going to Sicily?”

“Yeah.” She put her hands at either side of her face.

“Italy?”

“Yes.” Her fingers crept closer to her eyes as though she could hide from her embarrassment.

Kit snorted a laugh. “How on earth did you think you could get to Italy in time for dinner?”

“Private jet.”

“Are you serious?” Noah peeled a hand from her face.

“Yes. And since we were getting a private jet to Italy, I assumed your family were rich. I had a completely different picture of what the trip would be like, so I packed for an entirely different scenario.”

“Oh my god!” Seren cracked up laughing. “You thought you were flying to Italy for a fancy dinner with some swanky Italians and you’ve ended uphere. With us!”

“That’s hilarious,” Trystan said, leaning back in his chair.

“Why would I have invited you to Italy?” Noah said. “I told you my family were in Cornwall.”

“I thought maybe some of them were in Italy. And you mentioned a dinner dance so I thought it was something fancy.”

“I never said dinner dance!”

“You did.” She reached for her phone and indignantly showed him the message.

“I said dinner with my family …” He squinted at the phone screen. “And knowing my brother there’ll probably be dancing. That was sort of a joke.”

“How is that a joke?” she screeched.

“I’d like to know the same,” Trystan said, pursing his lips.

Noah rolled his eyes. “Whenever Trystan is out, there’s always dancing.”

“Which means it wasn’t a joke,” Trystan said.

“I’m confused.” Keira shook her head. “But the point is, I wouldn’t normally dress like this.”

Noah kissed her cheek, which she was sure must be a glorious shade of scarlet.

“Come on then,” Trystan said, offering her his hand as he stood.

“What are we doing?”

“Dancing, of course.”

“We can’t dance in the pub,” Keira protested, but Trystan had disappeared around the bar and was messing with the sound system.

“Trystan will dance anywhere,” Mirren said as the sweet tones of Ed Sheeran filled the air. “He’s always been the same. I think he was dancing before he could walk.”

“You have to dance with me,” Trystan said, coming back for her. “No one else will and you’re perfectly dressed for a waltz.”

“I can barely walk in these heels, never mind dance.”
