“No worries, babe,” Chris yells back.

Aiden walks over and squats in front of me. “How are you feeling?”

“Like crap.” I smile. “Which is how you’ll be feeling tomorrow,” I jest, and he smiles.

“Okay, guys, we’re heading into the theater room now, have a good time. Don’t get arrested,” I say while walking off.

Aiden runs up behind me, and I turn to face him. “Have fun tonight, and I promise to behave myself.”

“I know you’ll behave yourself because if you don’t, you’ll be sleeping in the guesthouse with your mother and Mike for the rest of your life,” I joke.

“Oh really?” He raises his eyebrows and laughs.

“Mmm… really,” I reply. He leans in and kisses me softly. “Have fun, babe,” I tell him.

He spins and walks off to the man cave with the boys. Brielle orders the pizza, and we set up the projector to play Love Actually, one of our favorite movies.

During the evening, I receive a few videos of Aiden, and we all have a good laugh.

Eventually, after numerous movies, we end up moving into the living room to sit and chat. We start to wonder where the boys are because my phone has been quiet for the past three hours.

“Hey, girls, do you think I should call the guys and see how they’re doing, or is that checking up on them?” I ask.

Bree shakes her hea

d. “I’m sure they’re fine. They’re probably in a bar winding down. They were going to call Mike to pick them up, weren’t they?”

As if on cue, we hear a car pull up out front. The front door swings open wide, and Chris stumbles in, followed by Aiden and the others. They’re laughing as they walk into the kitchen. “Speak of the devils,” Sarah calls out.

The guys pretty much ignore us, continuing on with their laughing and banter as Aiden stumbles over to his poker gear and sprawls it out on the dining room table. So, the girls and I head upstairs, leaving them to the rest of their night. I show Sarah and Brielle to their separate guestrooms, and as soon as I rest my head on the pillow, I’m out like a light.

It’s the day before our wedding. Just thinking about it fills me with such elated joy that I’m sure I will have a perma-grin all day.

“Morning, beautiful,” Aiden murmurs as he slowly wakes, then he strokes my cheek.

“Just think, this time tomorrow, I’ll be getting ready to marry you,” I reply.

His face alights with a bright smile. “I can’t wait.”

We lay in bed for a while, enjoying the first day of vacation. My phone rings, and it’s Sarah telling me she’s ten minutes away

Jumping out of bed, I get dressed for the girlie day we have planned in preparation for tomorrow. Aiden, of course, has paid for us to spend the day at a beauty spa, and the girls are excited. Afterward, the girls are sleeping over so we can get ready together in the morning.

Walking in the door, Aiden is waiting for us in the kitchen. He’s placed flowers everywhere. Their fragrant perfume wafts through the air, and I can’t help but stand in awe of the all the pink roses and their beauty.

“Oh, babe... I love them.” I rush to him, hugging and kissing him. That tingle, that spark I always feel when I kiss him, flushes over my entire body. I can’t help but fall in love with him just that little bit more as he holds me tight.

Sarah strides over to Aiden, and she starts to push him out of the room forcefully. “What are you doing?” Aiden laughs.

“You can’t see Jeni the night before your wedding. It’s bad luck.”

“You slept in the same bed as Chris the night before your wedding,” Aiden counters, making Sarah crease her eyebrows.

“Yes, but that was different. I was knocked up so the whole tradition thing didn’t count for us.”

“It’s a stupid tradition, Sarah.”

“Shut up and get out of here. You’re not going to argue with a pregnant lady as big as me, are you?”
