He didn’t bother flicking on the lamp. The glow of the moon through the windows cast the room in the perfect light. Beckett slowly lowered me to the floor, not looking away from my face once. “You’re sure?”
I reached a hand between us, lifting my fingers to trace his lips. They were swollen from our kisses. Something about the knowledge that I affected him only stoked the heat building in me higher. “I want this with you. This means something. Before, it didn’t—”
Beckett cut off my words with a slow kiss. “Before doesn’t matter. All that matters is us. Here. Now.”
It was the perfect thing to say. We were building something completely unique, only the two of us. My fingers found the buttons on his shirt. I took my time, undoing each one. Beckett stood perfectly still as I slid the shirt over his broad shoulders and let it fall to the floor.
My hands explored all that was underneath. Smooth skin pulled taut over an expanse of lean muscle. His pecs dipped down into the ridges of his stomach. My fingers found the button on his jeans. I unclasped it, and Beckett did the rest, shucking his pants and boxer briefs.
I couldn’t help but stare. He could’ve been a statue in any museum. My fingers itched to explore all of him.
“You keep looking at me like that, and this is going to be over before it’s begun.”
My gaze flew to his face, my cheeks heating. “I like looking at you.”
Beckett moved in closer, his hands tracing up my sides. “The feeling is very mutual.” He found the clasp of my bra, waiting there for a beat, a silent request for permission. My lips found his in answer. My bra came loose, and I broke away, only to let it fall to the floor.
Beckett’s hands palmed my breasts, his thumbs swirling around my nipples. “So damn pretty.”
My back arched as I pressed harder against his touch. I wanted more. For once in my life, I would demand everything.
I unbuttoned my jeans, wiggling out of them and my panties. I kicked the pile of fabric to the side with my bra. Then there was nothing between Beckett and me. Only the heat in the air and invisible energy crackling.
I circled his shaft with my fingers, stroking up and down. Beckett let out a groan as my touch wandered. “Addie…”
My name was a warning, but I didn’t care. “I like exploring.”
Beckett muttered a curse and tipped me back onto the bed. “My turn to explore.” His lips trailed up one leg until he reached the apex of my thighs.
“What are you—?” My words cut off as his tongue traced the bundle of nerves there. My breath left me in a rush, and my hands fisted in the blankets beneath me. As his lips closed around my clit, I nearly bowed off the bed.
Beckett slid two fingers inside me, and I let out a whimper. He stilled instantly.
“Don’t stop.” It was part plea and part order.
Beckett chuckled, sending delicious sensations through me. “You can be bossy when you want to be.”
My hands tightened as his tongue flicked and teased. His fingers twisted and stroked, and I found my hips moving of their own volition.
“Beckett.”
“What do you need?”
The answer was simple. “You.”
He moved quickly, grabbing something from the floor. Then he was rolling a condom onto his length and settling himself between my thighs. “You with me?”
My hands found his face, bringing it down to mine. “Always.”
Beckett slid inside slowly, giving me time to adjust. The stretch was just shy of pain but soon turned to warmth. That heat spread, and my hips rose to meet Beckett’s. “Please,” I whispered.
He dipped his face to my neck as he began moving. “Never felt anything as beautiful as this with you.”
His words had tears stinging my eyes as we found something that was ours alone—movement and breath and…us.
I arched my back, bringing Beckett deeper as my legs hooked around him. His hips angled in a way that had light dancing across my vision. His hand slipped between us, circling that bundle of nerves.
“Let go, Addie.”
