After placing her purse in her desk drawer, and the photo of her and Rider that he'd printed next to her computer, Paris sat down and then scooted her chair over to her friend’s desk. “The men insisted that I move into the motel.”
“What? With which one? Or will it be a threesome?” Her friend almost giggled with glee.
“It’s nothing like that. Look, how about at lunch I tell you everything?”
“I have to wait four hours?”
“Yes. It’s important that we pretend as if nothing has happened.”
Jenna sobered. “I get it. Back to work.” She nodded to the new addition. "What's with the photo?'
"Grayson thought a picture of me and Rider would dissuade Doug," she whispered.
"Good thinking."
Paris loved her friend's constant support. No sooner had Paris slipped back to her desk, when a large figure loomed over her.Shit. It was Doug. Paris remembered what Rider had said: be nice.
“Hey, Doug.”
“How are you feeling?”
For a moment, Paris forgot the ruse she’d used yesterday as to why she’d left early. “Much better. Thanks for asking. I think I ate something that didn’t agree with me.”
“Good. Hey, I didn’t see your car in the lot.”
Really? What kind of creep looked? Okay, she’d checked to see if he was at work, but that was only because she wanted to be aware of where he was so she could avoid him.
“I’m staying with Rider. He drove me.”
“Oh, okay. Cool.” He nodded to her computer. “Keep digging, and let me know if you find anything.”
She forced a smile. “Will do.”
Doug turned around and sauntered off. Too bad she couldn’t get a good sense as to whether he was angry or if he really had been concerned over a fellow worker.
As soon as he disappeared from view, Paris swung back around to Jenna’s desk. “Question for you. About three months ago, you were quite sick. I think you were out maybe three days.”
“Yeah, I had the flu.”
“When you returned to work, did Doug ever ask how you were feeling?”
Jenna huffed out a laugh. “Seriously? No. I don’t think he even knows my name.” She lifted her hand and tapped her wedding ring. “I think this prevents him for coming near me.”
"Now that he's met Rider and Grayson, hopefully, Doug will keep away from me." Paris checked her watch. “Only three hours and forty-five minutes to lunch.”
“Go back to work!” Jenna shooed her away.

“Here’s what we’re thinking,” Liam said to both Rider and Grayson. Liam pointed to the cement wall surrounding the Harrison Industries’ complex. They had all convened back on Miller's Ridge. “We need to buy more of those really small cameras. Their field of vision isn’t the best, but the clarity is impressive.”
“For what purpose?” Grayson asked.
“We’ll stick them on top of the fence evenly spaced apart. If we have enough of them, we will be able to capture the entire factory.”
Rider shook his head. “The last time we were anywhere near that cement fence, the guards were on us.”
Liam held up a finger. “Before we called you guys to come here, Alex and I kept track of the guard schedule. They come about every hour.”
