“We aren’t sure,” Rider said. “It might serve no purpose.” He lifted a finger. “A camera would be better. Doug might have a conversation with someone in the parking lot. It would be good to see who he interacts with. Even you thought the powers-that-be might have bugged the building.”

His friend was smart. They’d spent the day locating small, medium, and large surveillance cameras. In addition, they’d purchased two small cameras that were meant to affix to a desk or car bumper.

“Sure. I’ll try to time it when I leave today. I can let out the air in my tire so I can have a reason for waiting there.”

Grayson smiled. “I like the way you think, but be careful.”

“I will.”

“Let us know if you find out what he drives.”

“Of course.”

Grayson disconnected. “Do you think Delancey knows someone is on to him?”

“How could he? We’ve not made any inquiries.”

“The guards spotted me behind their property,” Grayson said. “They could have noticed me before I shifted.”

“Even if they learned your name, there is no way anyone can connect you or me to Paris.”

“Unless someone saw her with two men at the restaurant and said something.”

“That’s a real stretch,” Rider said. “If we start being that paranoid, we’ll never catch the guy.”

When a knock sounded on Rider’s door, Grayson nearly jumped. Worry over Paris being caught must have affected him.

“I bet it’s Liam and Alex,” Rider said. “My two top men.”

“Great.”

Rider looked through the peephole and opened up. “Hey, guys. Glad you could make it.”

Grayson picked up the key off the table. He’d been able to get them a room right next to Rider’s. “Hi, I’m Grayson Whitlock, and here is your room key. It’s just next door.”

“Such service.” The taller of the two nodded to Rider. “You should hire him.” He turned to Grayson. “I’m Liam Zano, and this ugly guy is Alex Carter.”

They shook hands. While Grayson wasn’t in the habit of paying attention to a man’s looks, he’d say Alex was the better looking of the two.

“Come in. We have a lot to catch you up on,” Rider said.

The two newcomers grabbed the chairs by the table and moved them closer to the bed where he and Rider sat.

For the next half hour, Rider filled the men in the best he could.

“What do you need us to do?” Alex asked.

“For starters, you can help us set up some surveillance tonight on the ridge above the factory. We might even need someone to be there in person for a while.”

Alex nodded. “Should we be in our human or wolf form?”

“Human for now,” Rider said then looked over at Grayson. “Can you find out if the property behind the factory is public land or not?”

“I can do that.” Just then Grayson’s phone rang. “It’s Paris.” He swiped his phone. “Hey.”

“Doug Peterson drives a black Ford truck.”

“Great.”
