After their visitors left, Audrey stared at her beautiful daughter some more, marveling at her perfection of nose, lips, and rounded cheeks.
She then looked at her husband, who also had a beautiful face she could spend hours adoring, and felt a glow of warmth and love. She took his hand and pulled it to her lips. “You know what I want to do today?”
“Sleep?”
“Well, yeah, that, but also, I want to go down the hall and introduce Gina to her first friend, and then I want to go home and start our next adventure of raising our baby together as a family.”
