They were forced to drop hands a moment later as two passing middle-aged women glanced in their direction, but it didn’t dampen Noah’s happiness.

Beckett jerked around to stare at Eduardo again. “We should go back and say something,” he said.

“Perhaps later,” Noah said, grinning. “I would have to interrupt him in the middle of getting exactly what he wants.” He smiled fondly at Beckett, and Beckett was tempted to risk taking his hand again. “Just as I have found everything I want,” he finished.

“You are everything I want,” Beckett said, his heart filled with contentment. “And I will go back and introduce myself to your friend at some point.”

“I love you for that,” Noah said in a happy whisper. “And for so many other things. I feel safe with you.”

“Always,” Beckett said. “As long as we’re together, nothing can touch either of us.”
