I arrive home laterand walk right into my shower, not bothering to shut my door. I strip down and step into the hot water, washing away the lust and grime from my skin. I brush against the bite marks along my breasts and thighs, and can't help but wince. Damn, I really shouldn’t have antagonized Kian. But he pisses me off so much sometimes, I can’t help being a brat. Plus, round two on the couch was fucking hot.
I quickly wash my hair, then rinse off and hop out. I need a snack, this time actual food, and to start my English paper. I can’t afford for my grades to slip if I want to stay at Stonewall Academy, where a dominating, sexy as fuck professor works.
I wrap the towel around my body and walk into the closet, grabbing a robe. No one is home right now so I don’t need to get dressed. I flip on my bedroom light and check my phone. A few messages from friends and one from Brad. I send him a winky face then turn it off. He may not be the best in bed, but he knows how to use his tongue, at least. A light flicks on in Nate’s room, and I fight not to watch as he strips off his towel. Damn his body is lickable. No, bad Patience, that boy is way off-limits.We need to just stay friends. As much as my body and heart crave more. I sigh and walk out into the hall in search of something to eat.
I’m digging through the freezer when a knock on the door behind me has me dropping a tub of ice cream. Shit. That hurt my toe. I pick it up from the floor and place it on the counter, then hobble over to the door. A dark silhouette greets me and I flip on the patio light. I suck in a surprised gasp and unlock the door, sliding it open.
“Nate, what are you doing here?” I glance behind him, but he seems to be alone. He moves into the kitchen and pushes me against the wall before kissing me hard. I groan into his mouth, then shove him away.
“What the hell are you doing?” I ask confused. He was the one who told me that it was too dangerous for us to see each other. “Are you serious right now? You can’t be here. It’s one thing for us to chat on the phone. This is way too risky.” He rolls his hazel eyes and shoves his hand through his messy chocolate waves.
“Rabbit, I have been wanting to do that for five years. You constantly teasing me through Skype didn’t help either.” I bite my lip to hide my smile and shrug.
“You never seemed to complain, but you can’t be here. Us sexting when you were across the ocean is one thing, but your dad and my mom will flip if they catch us talking. It’s bad, Nate. I still don’t understand things, but it’s like, overnight, we all became enemies.” I try to get him to understand how bad things have become, but he still thinks it’s all a big joke.
“Nate, where are you, man?” Cal shouts from their yard and my eyes go wide. Fuck, he can not find us talking.
“You. Need. To. Leave,” I whisper, gently moving him outside and turning off the light. He gives me one more glance and then sneaks between the hedges he must have trimmed to get through.
I wait until I hear them talking, then shut the door and lock it once more. My ice cream is melted, so I place it in the trash and grab a cheese stick from the fridge. That will have to do for tonight. Tomorrow, I am having a large breakfast though. With all the workouts I had today, I need carbs and maybe some protein. I’ll have to grab one of my boy toys before class for a snack too.
I lick my lips, picturing getting on my knees for Nate as he fucks my throat. Fuck, I need another shower and maybe a round with BOB.
Chapter Six
Iwalk back out to my car and grab my briefcase after Pay leaves. With all the excitement from earlier, I forgot it. Damn, that woman is going to be the death of me. Especially if her family catches wind of our little arrangement. My dad has an idea, but he warned me to keep things on the down-low. Patience’s grandpa is a scary man, and if he finds out about us, shit will hit the fan.
Walking out of the elevator, I pass Alice, my neighbor, and smile. She scowls before walking into her house and slamming the door. I laugh and unlock my door. That cranky old wench. She always has a glare or a scowl waiting for me. The only one who has ever gotten a smile from her is Patience. Which shocked us all, since Pay called her a ‘rigid old hag’.
I drop my case on the side table and move into the kitchen, smirking at my belt still lying on the counter. The lights snap on as I shuffle over to grab Mouse’s food from the pantry. She weaves in between my ankles, purring. I almost trip, and I curse at her. The gray and orange tabby with way too much spunk and attitude gives me a glare before flicking her tail. A glance at the clock tells me why she’s so needy.
I bend down and fill her bowl, tossing in a few treats to get on her good side. I don’t want to wake up to shit in my shoes again.
“I’m sorry, baby,” I tell her, petting her head as she eats. A lick on my hand shows I’ve been forgiven. I climb to my feet and open the fridge. Pulling out some leftovers, I pop them in the microwave, as I pour a drink then take a swig.
A text comes through and I almost spit out my drink. Fuck, does she know what she does to me? I press save and hit call.
“Miss me, baby?” I say, and a soft moan hits my ears.
“I need you now. Come over. No one is here,” Pay says with another groan. I glance at the clock once more, then my briefcase, holding all the papers I still need to grade.
“You want me? Tell me what you want me to do,” I demand, then turn off the microwave and pop the Tupperware back into the fridge. I grab my keys and head back to the elevator as Pay tells me everything I want to hear. I just had this girl and my dick is rock-hard again. I’ll never get enough. I’m addicted.
I unlock my car as her breaths get heavier. “Don’t come. I want you to edge yourself until I arrive. I want your clit pulsing and your pussy dripping for me.”
“Fuck, hurry,” she groans and I smirk, backing out of my parking space. It doesn’t take me long to drive to the house, and soon I’m parking in the garage. I don’t know where our parents are tonight, but honestly, I couldn’t give a shit. My girl needs me. She could have called someone else, but she called me.
I know she wants me to make this official, but we can’t. I may be making excuses, but really, I’m protecting her. There are a lot of things she has yet to learn, and at times, I feel guilty about not telling her, but she will be eighteen soon and everything will be revealed.
I slip out of my car and walk in through the side door. Taking the kitchen stairs up to her room, I find her in the bath, legs spread, hanging over the edge. Just waiting for me.
“What took you so long?” she asks with a smile, and my heart skips. She may be my step-sister and my best friend, but she’s also the only girl I have, and will ever, love.
Chapter Seven
After leaving my rabbit’s house, I gave in to my exhaustion. I know I’m going to feel it in the morning, but I don’t care. I tell Cal goodnight and move up to my room. Changing into some shorts, I plop onto my mattress with a groan. The bed faces the large bay window that has a perfect view of Patience's room and I watch as Kian enters. Damn, he looks different. I haven’t seen him in five years either, and it seems he finally grew out of his punk rock stage. Wearing dress slacks and a polo, he has a five o’clock shadow, and a briefcase. He looks like some professor type.
