“I had an idea that I was, but you just confirmed it for me. So thank you for that and all the amazing orgasms you gave me.” Gina blushed.

And fuck if Nick didn’t love the hell out of that. Despite the fact they had just fucked six ways to Sunday, she still seemed innocent as hell when she was coy like that. It only made her even sexier.

“Will I see you tomorrow?” he asked, hoping he would have a chance to give her a few more of those amazing orgasms that she loved so much.

“I have to work, but maybe after. We’ll see. You can always stop by in the morning for coffee and a muffin,” she suggested.

“I’ll have to do that.” He kissed her one last time and gave her one last firm slap to her ass before sending her up the step and into her house for the night.

He stood sentry until he was sure her door was locked, and she was safely tucked away. Though he knew she was safe and there were no threats anywhere in sight, his bear still bounced off the walls of his brain. He wanted to be with their mate, not walk away from her. If he couldn’t be with her, he wanted to watch over her house to make certain she was safe.

“Easy, buddy. She’ll be fine. She’s home for the night and probably going to shower and sleep so she can get up for work in the morning. Besides, we'll see her again just a few short hours from now.”

His bear huffed at his explanation, not giving a fuck if they would see her again in a few hours or not. He wanted her now. Period. Heading back to his hotel, his bear pushed harder and harder, wanting to get back to his mate.

“Hey, buddy,” Nick called out as he entered his suite.

“Arf!” Odin came running to greet him.

Launching himself into Nick’s arms, Odin welcomed him with a throng of licks all over his neck and face.

“Aww, I missed you too, buddy. Let’s take you out for your walk before bed. Then I’m going to have to go out for a bit to take care of the bear.”

“Arf!” Odin jumped from Nick’s arms to the bed before hopping on the floor. The zoomies were instant, with the little dog running at top speed through the suite. Once Nick grabbed Odin’s leash, his little hell-hound came to a full stop right in front of Nick’s feet, sitting pretty and waiting like a good boy.

Ten minutes later, Nick and Odin returned from the walk. Odin hopped on the bed and crashed immediately, leaving Nick to do what needed to be done.

He headed down the elevator and out the back door. The last thing he wanted to do was make up a bunch of lies about where he was off to if he ran into Makayla. She was cool and all, but he really didn’t want to get into the wholemy bear needs to be by hismatething. He wasn’t quite sure how that conversation would go, and now was not the time to have it. Not with his bear pushing so hard against his mind.

He jogged off the property deep into the woods behind the hotel before calling his bear forward. The last thing Nick wanted was to be seen shifting on the security footage at the hotel. Definitely not a good idea.

“Someone got lucky tonight,”Maggie giggled as Gina did her walk of shame through the front door and into the living room.

The blush stung Gina’s face as the words left Maggie’s mouth. She had no idea why because she certainly wasn’t ashamed of what had happened with Nick. Hell, she had begged for it and would have probably jumped him had he not given up the goods. Her hormones had definitely been on overdrive the second his scent had washed over her, inundating her senses.

“Is it that obvious?” Gina asked.

“The hair is a dead-ass giveaway, girl. You look like you had one hell of a time.”

Gina busted out laughing. “Oh, God. You have no idea. That was just … wow! Incredible. I thought my head was going to pop off my damn shoulders.”

“That is the best damn sex. Isn’t it? It’s so hot and so good you just lose yourself completely,” Maggie said with that knowing look. “Damn, I miss that.”

“I had no idea sex like that was even possible.” Gina’s post-coital high suddenly faded.

“What’s wrong? You’re not regretting what happened, are you?” Maggie asked.

“Oh, no. God, no. But I am a bit worried about something.”

The spell. She was worried about that damn spell. What if that was the reason why Nick was in town? What if she had actually summoned him, and that was the reason for their sudden whirlwind romance? Was it fair to him?

“Do you want to talk about it?” Maggie asked.

Did she ever! But she didn’t know if she should even bring it up. Maggie, Clara, and Annie didn’t know she went snooping and found their spell book and the magic wand and tried a little witchcraft on her own. What would they say when they found out? Would they fire her from the café? Would they kick her out of the house too?

“Why don’t I grab a couple of drinks for us, and we can talk about whatever is on your mind.” Maggie set her book down and headed for the kitchen with Gina on her heels.
