“This has to do for now,” Zak said. “I need to get Rosebud warm.”

I raised my head. He stood topless in front of me, his hard muscles rippled across his broad chest. Zak had the most symmetrical features, and his masculine beauty always took my breath away.

I wanted him now.

I wondered what position he wanted to take when it was his turn to hump me.

“Hands up,” he ordered me.

Only then did I notice the dry long shirt in his hand. While Héctor and I got busy, Zak was drying the clothes for me.

I raised my arms with Héctor still hard inside me.

Zak pulled my damp jacket, then shirt, then bra off and shoved his dry shirt down on me. The warm and soft material wrapped around my skin nice and cozy, and my heart warmed even more.

The sky demigod picked up my clothes and went back to the campfire he’d successfully lit, adding more wood into the fire and starting to dry my shirt, jacket, and boots. If what he did for me wasn’t love, I didn’t know what was.

Héctor wanted to have me again, and I wasn’t against going another round, but my hellhound’s barks in the distance jerked me back to reality and the things we needed to take care of.

First, we needed to find Axel and Paxton.

Héctor pulled out of me reluctantly, bent forward, and kissed my neck with all the tenderness in the world. He’d been so fierce and passionate toward me that he was nearly brutal just a few seconds ago. Only my Héctor could blend these contradictory qualities so smoothly, and I loved everything about him—his strength, his flaws, and his mortal love for me.

He pulled my pants down since Zak’s shirt went right above my knees, tossed my wet pants at Zak for him to dry, and carried me in his arms to the fire.

“I want Rosebud to sit on me,” Zak said. “My trousers are drier.”

Héctor parked me on Zak’s lap and started to dry my pants and boots above the fire. And I wrapped my arms around Zak’s neck and nestled my head against his chest.

Angel sprang toward us from the downstream. He trotted over to me and rubbed his head against my shoulder.

Tower,he said in my head.

I blinked. While I couldn’t telepath with my mates, I could talk to my hellhound and the monsters. That was some development.

Axel and Paxton?I asked.

Tower,he repeated, his rough tongue swept over the back of my hand.

I scratched the spot behind his ear to reward him. My hellhound liked to show affection. He turned his other head for me to scratch.

I turned to Zak and Héctor as I caved in to my hellhound’s demand to get my two hands to work, stroking behind his ears. “Angel found their tracks. Axel and Paxton might be heading toward a tower.”

“Why didn’t they wait for us?” Héctor asked in anger. “I specifically assigned Paxton to watch over my Lamb, and he couldn’t even do a simple job.”

“We don’t know what really happened,” Zak said. “There’s no reason or rhythm to this realm. They might have thought we’d gone to the tower. Now that we know where they headed, we’ll walk downstream. We can’t go wrong with that.”

“We need to find them as soon as possible,” I said, rising to my feet. “We’re leaving now.”

“We’ll leave after your clothes are dry,” Héctor said. “We can’t afford for you to get sick.”

I stopped, staring. I wasn’t the only one who needed dry clothes.

Héctor could get sick easier than us.
