I planted my hands on his broad, muscled shoulders, the touch searing me. He hissed in pleasure, and my chest swelled, my nipples taut. I fought myself not to climb onto his lap, at least not yet. But I dipped my head and kissed him.
He gasped, his gratitude and desire radiating to me.
He pulled me to him as he deepened the kiss. As soon as I parted my lips for him, his tongue invaded my mouth, sweeping over my hard palate.
The Demigod of Sea tasted like beach, ice, and sin. He was just as intoxicating as the other demigods. His formidable power rivaled theirs.
His kiss grew more possessive and ravenous, and I breathed my energy into him. It was an experiment. I didn’t like always taking. I wanted to give.
He let out a rasping breath as my energy replenished him, healing him, and I learned his most inner secret.
He wanted me badly. He wanted me with his scarred soul.
I pulled back and watched the red burn from his body fade.
“You can give us energy, too, Buttercup,” he said in awe. “Your power has evolved.”
“You saw I take blood from Axel,” I said.
“The blood bond.” Paxton nodded, lust burning brighter in his violet eyes. “You’ll bond us all.”
I turned on my heels toward the stairs to the basement. It was time to take care of my Héctor.

My breath caught asI spotted Héctor sprawled on a cot in the center of the basement, his eyes closed. His broad, muscled chest rose and fell as his breath hissed in and out.
His obsidian wings spread out beneath him. They were mending, though the wound hadn’t completely knitted, despite the elixir he’d drunk. Hell’s venom in his bloodstream must be impeding his healing. My throat bobbed with emotion at his pain.
My gaze traced his eight-pack stomach to a trail of golden hair that disappeared into his loose trousers. He was so large, so masculine, yet perfectly proportioned. His every muscle was as refined as a poem.
My core clenched at the sight of him. I could watch him like this forever. No, I’d do more than watch. I wanted to lick his sun-kissed skin, which glinted under the light streaming through the half-moon windows above us.
Héctor flashed open his eyes. As soon as they alighted on me, they heated like a thousand suns, basking me in warmth and aching need.
His firm, curvy lips curled up at the corner. He always liked how I reacted to him. Around him, I couldn’t disguise my desire.
“Come to me, lamb,” he demanded huskily as he half-leaned back, his elbow supporting part of his weight.
Taut muscles rippled across his bulging biceps, and a lock of rich brown hair dropped into his eyes.
