Page 2 of Aussie Actually

But then three days after the wedding, you head back to San Diego, and leave Bria and Elisa, and Owen and Angus here.

She would. And not only that, her mom and dad were making the most of being in Australia and had decided to have a second honeymoon in the country. They were hiring a car and doing a six-week self-drive tour to as many places and sights and locations here as they could.

She’d be alone back in San Diego.

Maybe she should just move into the cheetah enclosure’s staff annex?

No sad stuff, remember. This is a huge day for Bri. Stop being selfish.

Good point.

“Hey!” she burst out, looking at Bria and Elisa in the mirror, eyes wide. Serious. Stern.

“What?” Bria asked.

“What?” Elisa echoed.

She stuck her tongue out at them.

They all laughed. Sisters to the end, no matter where any of them lived. Or how far apart.

A soft knock sounded on the door and Tilly, Owen’s sister, popped her head into the room. “It’s showtime.” A smile spread across her face, and she let out a happy sigh. “You all look gorgeous, by the way.”

“Absolutely we do,” Zeta agreed. “Even with a decided lack of tulle.”

Tilly laughed.

Zeta found Bria’s gaze in the mirror, and she lifted an eyebrow. “Ready?”

Bria closed her eyes, drew in a deep, slow breath, and then nodded. “Hell yeah,” she said, looking at Zeta and Elisa in the mirror. “Let’s go get hitched.”

“I’m already hitched,” Elisa pointed out with a laugh. “And am now up the duff.”

Zeta blinked. “Up thewhat?”

Elisa laughed, running her palms over her belly. “Up the duff. Pregnant.”

Zeta rolled her eyes. “This is what happens when you marry an Australian. You start speaking gibberish.”

Tilly cleared her throat. “Not that I’m not enjoying this sisterly moment, ladies—” she gave Bria a grin, “but Mick has Owen almost convinced you’re going to realise you’re actuallymarryinghim today and decide that’s areallybad idea, and take off back to the States so…”

Bria burst out laughing. “Of course he is.”

Zeta ground her teeth. Mick. Owen’s brother.

She’d only met him once at Bria’s and Owen’s engagement party a few months ago, but once was once enough. ER Doctor. Opinionated. Far too impressed with himself. Way too good-looking for his own, well, good. And unfortunately, her partner in the bridal party.

The only irritation of the day.

But still, for Bria, she’d grin and bear the annoying, arrogant pain in the ass.

For Bria.

Even if hehadcalled her—

“Scusi, Matilda,” a male voice uttered behind Tilly, and a towering man with steel grey hair, ice-blue eyes, and a glorious moustache appeared in the doorframe, his smile wide. “Mie belle ragazze, tutti stanno aspettando.”

“We’re coming, Papà,” Bria said, turning from the mirror. She held out her arms. “Do you like?”
