"Sightseeing?"
"Don't you have that in Scotland?" With one finger, she tickles my lips. "Sightseeing is when you go to various locations to stare at a bunch of old junk or to admire the scenery, or maybe to make fun of goofy little niche museums. It's corny and cheesy and all that jazz. Geeks like me live for it."
She truly is the most enchanting woman I have ever met. I've never done any of the things she just described, so she might be disappointed by my reaction to her favorite activities. Still, at least I will get to spend more time with her.
Not because I want to date her. No, I'm done with that rubbish. This is companionship, nothing more.
I release her hand, placing both of mine on her knees. "All right. Let's go sightseeing."
"Awesome." She moves to get up, and I stand too, stepping back to give the lass more room. She aims a playful smile at me. "Hope you're ready to party hearty."
That sounds like the precise opposite of anything I would enjoy, but I will give it a go. This is my holiday, after all, even if I had intended to spend the whole time working. Now I have a reason to step outside my comfort zone for a day.
My attention returns to her shirt, and my lips struggle not to smile, though I only half succeed in not doing that. "One question first."
"Shoot."
I wave a finger at her shirt. "What is ComicCon?"
