It’s about time you showed some respect and gratitude for all the ways I’ve been taking care of you. What else are you willing to show me?
This is just the appetizer. What’s for dessert?
Zai pulled his hand back and glared.
“Stupid animal,” he ground out.
“Eat it or not, I don’t care.”
But before he could fully retract his hand and toss away the liver, the liger lunged forward with a sudden snap of his jaws and gobbled up the meat in one gulp and swallow.
If he didn’t know better, Zai would have thought the Beast had gobbled up his hand as well in the process.
The liger licked his maw and grabbed hold of Zai’s wrist in a loose bite, making him keep his hand extended. Then, when he felt certain Zai wouldn’t take his hand away, he began to lick all of the blood off from every finger, the palm, the back of his hand, his wrist, and up a ways on his forearm too.
And when he was done cleaning the blood off, he kept right on licking, the tiny thorns on his broad tongue rasping against Zai’s skin.
Zai reeled his arm slowly back to his body the farther the liger licked up his limb, and Sin came with it, crowding closer, until his furry maw was right in Zai’s face, his hard forehead butting against Zai’s jaw and chest.
Zai held the liger’s head loosely, half pushing him away, half pulling him closer. He couldn’t make up his mind which he wanted more.
All the while, Sin licked him everywhere he could reach—his neck, his collarbones above the top of his tunic, his face, his mouth…
“Off, you mangy beast,” Zai huffed and shoved at the liger.
“Liver breath. Disgusting.”
But Sin wasn’t having it.
He used his liger heft and strength to bear Zai to the ground on his back, straddling him on all fours, caging him within the bars of his big-boned body.
And then, he sat directly on top of Zai, using all of his weight, making Zai grunt for the lack of breath.
In a blink, he shifted to man, still using his liger powers to hold Zai in place.
But it wasn’t the other man’s weight and strength that kept him immobile. It was Sin’s tawny beauty and the intensity in his brilliant yellow eyes.
“I do not hunger for the main course any more,” the Beast growled low, dipping his head to nuzzle his nose and cheeks against Zai’s jaw.
“I only crave dessert.”
He nipped at Zai’s neck with sharp teeth, scratching but not breaking the skin. He lay fully on top of Zai, his naked body pinning Zai’s fully clothed one down, his hard hips between Zai’s spread thighs.
“No,” Zai said, as sternly and with as much conviction as he could muster.
Which wasn’t a lot.
“Why not?” the Beast purred.
“I can smell your desire, just as strong as mine. I can feel your arousal…”
To make his point, Sin ground down against Zai, pushing their erections against one another, only the fabric of Zai’s tunic between them.
“We both want this. Don’t deny it.”
Zai couldn’t.
And if this was goodbye, then he didn’t want to.
