Chapter Seven.
“Well, I loathe shopping,” Clio moaned three hours later. Calliope grinned as she stared at the bags surrounding us.
“Bleh, I’ve never had so much fun,” Calliope said. Polly snorted while I grinned. So two of us loved shopping, and two of us hated it.
“Did you really enjoy shopping, Calliope?” Clio asked, keeping a sharp eye on Shee, who was getting coffee in a café.
“Call me Callie. Calliope is a mouthful. And yes, I’ve always envied those women who have walked down the street with handfuls of bags. Now it’s my turn, and this was so much fun. Shee certainly knows what suits a woman’s figure.” Callie grinned.
“Shee should do; he’s had his hands on enough of them,” Clio groused, and we laughed. Slowly through the afternoon, we’d relaxed, and little titbits came out about our personalities. Polly was happy in jeans and cargo pants with tees. Callie definitely had a quirky, slightly steampunk idea of fashion. Mine was dresses and upper class while Clio was biker babe chic. Shee had done his best by bullying the four of us into colours or designs that suited us. Even ripping an orange top from Polly’s hands with a sharp shake of his head.
“Who else is dating?” Clio asked. Polly and Callie shook their heads. Mine was delayed as I thought of Bear and his magical cock.
“Thalia hesitated!” Callie exclaimed. Three pairs of curious eyes stared at me.
“No.”
“Now you’re going red,” Clio mused. Grey eyes tried to read my thoughts as Clio narrowed her eyes.
“Maybe because I’m embarrassed.”
“At what?” Polly said, blue eyes pinning me in place.
“That I’ve no sex life,” I covered. Shee snorted as he approached, and my cheeks went either redder as I remembered it was Shee’s bed that Bear and I had used.
“Shee, do you know something?” Clio asked, and Shee shook his head.
“Honey, how many times have you told me I’m empty-headed?” Shee asked, placing a tray with coffee on the table. Clio’s mouth dropped open, and she slapped Shee’s arm.
“Shee, you can’t use my words against me!”
“Just did. Clio butt out of people’s sex lives; not everyone wants to gossip.”
“Now I know you know something. Who are you doing, Thal? You can’t keep secrets from your sisters. If Shee knows, then I demand to know!” Clio demanded, outraged. Well, thanks, Shee, because you just near enough confirmed I was doing someone!
“Clio, I never said Thalia was doing someone,” Shee defended.
“But you said to keep out of Thalia’s sex life. Which means you know Thalia has one,” Callie said slyly, and Polly grinned at Shee.
“Oh my God, you’re doing Shee!” Clio exclaimed. “That’s the reason you two are strangely reticent.”
“No!” I exclaimed as Shee spluttered and uttered his own denial. Shee’s eyes caught mine, and I saw the awareness. Shee knew who I was sleeping with. My eyes dropped from Shee’s knowing gaze.
“Are you sure because you’re acting cagey,” Clio challenged.
“Shee and I are not having sex,” I said firmly.
“That’s a shame, as Shee’s cute,” Callie said without a blush. Shee raised his eyes and laughed.
“Damn,” Polly muttered, eyeing Shee like she’d seen a big bar of chocolate. “He’s as sexy as all out when he’s laughing like that.”
“Okay, ladies, let’s discuss where we’re going next,” Shee chuckled. Polly and Clio groaned while Callie and I grinned. Shee honestly enjoyed shopping with us; I was surprised. Men usually hated shopping, but Shee was a rare one who didn’t. And on Shee, it wasn’t emasculating; he made excellent choices in clothing that flattered our figures.
“Shoes?” Callie asked, and we perked up. Well, we’d found something that we all might enjoy.
“Know just the place,” Shee grinned wickedly.
