“Of course they are. I wasn’t planning on having any visitors.” I smack his hand away, and he sets it on the couch, flexing his fingers.
“You’re not wearing underwear.”
“So?”
He blinks. “You have tiny nipples.”
“They’re proportionate to my body.”
His eyes flit across my body once more. “You don’t have any hair anywhere.”
“I know. It’s called maintenance.”
“That’s weird.”
“For you, maybe.”
He swipes a finger down the smooth skin of my leg, and I flick his finger away.
“Why are you so smooth?”
“I use lotion. What, do straight guys not moisturize?”
“Nah,” he says, swiping a hand across his mouth. “That’d be… gay,” he says with a smirk and a twinkle in his eye.
Now I’m really pissed.
“Okay, you know what? I’mnotdoing this with you right now. What do you want, Sem? It must be important since you usually just lurk and loom like a gargoyle but don’t actually commit felonies like breaking and entering… Or, do you?” I narrow my eyes at him.
He rolls his lips between his teeth, and those blue eyes meet mine.
He ignores my question and says, “I heard you last night.”
“And what did youhearexactly?” I ask, taking a step back and folding my arms across my chest.
“Heard you brag you could take anyone. Any size.”
I roll my eyes. “Yeah, so?”
I’m being bratty, but he’s annoying me, looking ridiculously large in this small apartment. He consumes way too much space. I’m finding it hard to breathe.
“I don’t believe you.”
I sniff and arch an eyebrow. “And why do I care what youbelieve?”
Oh, but I do care. No one underestimates me. I’ve dealt with that my whole life. People think that I can't do what they can because I’m smaller than most men. Fuck them all.
“You were lying. Why would you do that? For attention?”
“I wasnotlying!”
Sem rubs a hand across the couch cushion. “How could someone so small take someone so big? They’d tear you in half.”
I scoff. “What do you know, straight boy? I can take what I want to take. I’m incredible.”
I don’t know why I’m arguing with him, but he brings out my competitive side. I would never behave this way with anyone else.
Apparently, all bets are off.
