“Caleb,” he whispers. “I missed you.”

“Missed you more,” I say, gasping as he angles his hips just right. He knows me, knows me so well. The headboard hits as he slams into me, the bed creaking, but all I can hear is Whit above me. Panting. Moaning. Sayingmyname. A few minutes later, I gasp and come onto my chest, unashamed that I found my release so quickly. Because he's here with me, and that's all that matters.

"Caleb," Whit groans, and I feel his body tensing as warmth floods me. And then it's over. But already I'm already to go again.

"Shameless," Caleb says, catching sight of my already growing cock.

"It's been deprived," I tell him, and he rolls his eyes.

He wipes me clean and lowers himself onto me, but it doesn’t feel right, so I roll him onto his back and stretch across him.

“Better,” I mutter and tuck my face into his neck.

We lay like that, my heart slowly stitching itself back together as he rubs his fingers across my skin. I could stay like this forever.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Anything?"

“How much was in that trust, babe?” I ask, tracing the line of his collarbone.

“Millions.”

I look up at him, and he meets my gaze. “Shit. Will you resent me for it? Ten years down the road? When you’re stuck with poor ol’ me?”

He shakes his head adamantly. “Never. You are worth more than all of that money combined.”

My heart melts, and I press a kiss to his chin.

“I love you,” I say, and Whit’s eyes widen.

He exhales shakily. “What?”

It's my turn to roll my eyes. “You heard me. I. Love. You.”

“You do?”

“Yeah.”

“Why?”

This guy.

I scoot up a little and press a kiss to his lips.

“Because you’re strong and smart, and you put up with my family. Because you deserve it after everything, you deserve to be loved. Because I just do, Whit. I’ve been in love with you for ages.”

He blinks rapidly at me like he can’t comprehend what I’m saying.

“Did I break you?” I ask, pressing my fingers to the pulse on his neck. His heartbeat is strong and fast under my fingertips.

“No…” he wets his lips and then threads his hands into my hair. “I love you too.”

And my heart soars. It’s literally taken flight, and I’ve died and gone to heaven. How is this my life?

“I have something for you, actually,” he says, and then he leans up and reaches into the end table near his bed. “Close your eyes.”

I do, my heart thundering in my chest.
