She lifted her head, smiling. “Do you think I can bake cookies tomorrow? Sort of like an offering, a gift to her and the boys. It might help keep the tension down.”
I arched my brow. “You want to bribe them with cookies?”Yep, right there, my soulmate.
She poked me in the side. “Not bribe. Just…” She thought for a moment. “Shit, I am trying to bribe them. Look what being around you is doing to me.”
I let out a hearty chuckle, squeezing the shit out of my girl. “Baby, you bake all the cookies you want. Make a shopping list. I’ll send a prospect out to get what you need.”
“What’s your favorite cookie?”
“I don’t like sugary treats. So forget about bribing me with them.”
A wicked glint sparked in her eyes. “The only thing I need to bribe you with is between my legs.”
A growl rumbled in my throat. “Angel, don’t ever use your pussy as a bargaining chip or weapon against me. It won’t end well for your ass.” I slapped her bottom. She didn’t yelp or jump.
“You sound awfully possessive, Kaleb.”
I put her on her back, covering her body with mine. “You’re mine. All of you.”
She kissed her finger, then pressed it to my lips. “And you’re mine.”
“Better believe it.” I was about to drive my cock into her when she managed to close her goddamn legs.
She arched her brow like I was one of her students. “Condom.”
“Fuckin’ hell.” I rolled off her and stomped back to the bathroom, bringing the box to our nightstand. “I’m not okay with this, Angel.”
“I know, baby… Just six more days…”

Each time I heard footsteps, I held my breath, anticipating Sugar’s arrival. Storm had been texting with Maddox all day. I was totally freaking out. Storm’s aunt was the most prominent person in his life. I needed to make a good impression because if she didn’t like me, I feared she might convince Storm to dump me. It was probably foolish thinking, but I couldn’t help but worry.
Or stop eating loaded oatmeal cookies and chocolate chip cookies.
All afternoon people were in and out of the kitchen while I was baking. It was a nice distraction. I ate up their compliments as they devoured my baked treats. Rough and tough bikers might deny having a sweet tooth, but several of the Knights moaned after their first bite of my oatmeal cookies. Ire was one of them. He’d promptly grabbed a few, following his vocal display, and disappeared. He didn’t look fully recovered, but it was good to see him out of his room—if only for a few minutes.
Storm had been hovering over me all day. It’d been quiet regarding the Hunters, so he stuck to me like glue. I loved having him around. He didn’t help me bake but he sampled a few cookies… and my lips...often.
“Their ETA is thirty.”
“Oh God.” I inhaled, reaching for another cookie.
Storm wrapped his hand around my wrist and tugged me onto his lap. “Angel, she’s going to love you. Stop stressing. No more cookies.”
“Don’t tell me what I can and cannot eat.” I bit off half the cookie and chewed in his face.
“Tomorrow you’ll gripe about eating too many and probably bitch me out for not stopping you. So no more.”
Dammit, he was right—as always. I put the other half of my cookie to his lips. “Eat it.”
He opened his mouth and took my finger with the cookie. I stirred down low, feeling his slick tongue.
“Let me take you upstairs and distract you.” He wiggled his brows.
“Is Sugar here yet?”
