Rylee nibbled on her bottom lip as she thought about Sheryl’s question. She knew that Frazier had desired herthis weekend. She had felt his hard erection whenever he’d pulled her into his arms.
“I’m waiting for an answer, Ry.”
“No, I don’t want him to.”
“Good answer. Although I know all about Frazier Connelly’s past history with women, I think he realizes you’re different and is treating you as such. From the sounds of it, he’s a man worthy of your love. Why don’t you take a chance? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.” Sheryl paused a minute and then added, “I have another question to ask you, Ry.”
“What?”
“Since the two of you are getting to know each other better, when are you going to tell him about Electra? I think you should do it soon. You said he told you a lot about himself and his family this past weekend. Isn’t it time that you did the same?”
When Rylee didn’t answer quick enough, Sheryl said, “And, of course, I’m going to ask the same birth control question Ireland did.”
Rylee frowned. “Why?”
“Because I have a feeling that the more you and Frazier Connelly try to hold off, the more likely it will be that something backfires. And when it does, I want you prepared.”

Frazier wasn’t usually a clock watcher, but he couldn’t keep his eyes off the huge one on the meeting room’s wall. It was Thursday and he couldn’t wait to see Rylee again. It didn’t mean a thing that he had talked to her every night sinceleaving Charlottesville. Nor did it make things any better that a number of those calls had been via FaceTime. All that mattered was that he wanted to see her again. Be with her. Hold her in his arms. Kiss her.
He glanced at the clock again. The speaker, a social media guru, was introducing a new digital platform as a way to reach customers. Frazier would have found the presentation interesting…if his mind hadn’t been elsewhere.
Rylee should be on her way to the hotel by now. He’d made sure her passkey would be available upon her arrival. He’d arranged for her to have her own suite. And though it connected to his, the door would be kept closed until she chose to open it. He had a lot planned for them while they were here and then they’d return home to Charlottesville late Sunday evening.
When everyone began clapping, he did, too, although he hadn’t really been listening for the past half-hour. This was the last day of the four-day meeting, which usually ended with a luncheon and a banquet tonight. Typically, he attended the banquet solo, but tonight, Rylee would be there with him.
He glanced at the clock again. There was no way he could endure an hour-long lunch with men he’d been with all week when a beautiful woman he desperately wanted to see was in the hotel suite next to his.
Making his excuses, and letting everyone know that he would be attending the banquet tonight, he left the conference room, hurriedly walking across the hotel’s lobby to the bank of elevators.
When the elevator stopped on his floor, he quickly stepped out. He knew he had to get himself togetherbefore seeing her and decided to drop by his own room first. Opening the door, he stepped inside and removed his jacket. That’s when he noticed the connecting door leading to Rylee’s room.
It was wide open.

“Hello, Frazier.”
Frazier’s breath caught when Rylee appeared in the open doorway dressed in a pair of dark pants and a cute top, looking as beautiful as ever. Seeing her again did something to him, and without returning her greeting, he crossed the room and took her in his arms, then slanted his mouth over hers.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. She seemed hungry for his kiss and he couldn’t stop his body and mind from reacting to it. He wondered if she had any idea what she was doing to him. Her taste was filling his mouth, the scent of her was filling his nostrils and his hands couldn’t resist straying to her ass. He loved being able to touch her in such a way.
He’d never been blown away by a kiss before, but that was what was happening here. The heat between them was explosive and it was hard to keep it under control. It seemed the more they kissed, the hotter they got. Was this what happened after being apart less than a week? Was she ready for this degree of desire? He hoped she wasn’t toying with him. He couldn’t take much more…
Suddenly, the intensity of the kiss changed--something else was thrown in the mix. This kiss was escalating to alevel they’d never shared before--forceful and demanding. Bone-melting. And there was no way to stop it. Nor did he want to.
When Rylee’s body started to tremble, he knew what was happening, though he’d never witnessed anything like it before. This kiss was not just a prelude to intimacy—it had become the main event. She was losing control in an orgasm so powerful, he could feel it in their kiss. He held her, continuing to kiss her as the rush of desire flowed through her, leaving her trembling in his arms.
When the tremors finally ceased, she released his mouth and whispered, “Frazier…”
Sweeping her into his arms, he carried her over to the loveseat. Holding her gently, he placed her in his lap while brushing kisses across her face. She gazed up at him and he saw a look of awe in the depths of her hazel eyes. He also saw the heat of embarrassment that tinted her cheeks.
The last thing he wanted was for her to feel any shame for what had just happened. “I’m humbled, knowing I could give you pleasure in the most organic way. You are amazing, Rylee.”

Rylee stared up at Frazier in wonder. She doubted he knew how much his words touched her. They warmed her body and filled her with a soothing aura. They also heightened her awareness of him and increased the beat of her heart. A heart that was pounding with love for him.
