“Bullseye.”
No one moved.
Not even Reaper.
“Excuse me?” Reaper asked, slowly leaning forward. “Where is he?”
“I don’t know. I was monitoring the dark web when I saw the listing. I ran my back trace but it pinged everywhere from Alaska to Australia. He’s bouncing his signal all over the place. I have no idea where he is.”
“How in the hell is he doing that. He needs some fancy tech to do that shit.”
“I taught him,” Phantom murmured.
“When?”
“Look,” she said, holding her head up high as she answered Reaper. “You know damn well I had a life before coming here. Just leave it alone, okay. If it affects this club, I will tell you. This doesn’t. So, let’s move on.”
Reaper growled.
Phantom flipped him the bird, ignoring him as she continued. “Like I was saying, Bullseye is also looking for Acid. We all know what will happen if he finds him first. I'm not saying he shouldn’t because the fucker needs to die, but if Bullseye is using the dark web to locate people, I guess that the bodies are about to start piling up.”
“You don’t think this is just about Kitty then, do you?” Ghost asked.
Phantom shook her head. “No. I don’t. In fact, I’ve spent a week going over everything Kitty knew, even the letter she left before I met up with her in Vegas. I’ve gone through her house with a fine-tooth comb and other than what she specifically told us, there is nothing.”
“That’s bullshit.” Chaos stated. “She wouldn’t just leave her husband, brother all of us hanging.”
“I agree. So Savage,” she said, looking at me. “You knew her the best. Where would your sister hide important shit?”
“She wouldn’t. She’d memorize it.”
“She had to have a contingency plan if something went wrong. She would have made sure all the information was available if we looked in the right spot. Any clue where that might be?”
“Not at the moment. Kitty was secretive. She just didn’t blurt out shit. When it came to her secrets, she only revealed what was needed at the time.”
“Did she keep a diary, a journal, a blog, anything?”
“I don’t know.” I replied, then asked. “Have you checked Bullseye’s things?”
“Yes. Sypher, Gadget and I went through the house. We found nothing.”
I don’t know what made me think of it. I mean it was ludicrous. Totally insane. She wouldn’t ever do it. At least I didn’t think she would. She always said her body was a temple, yet I couldn’t stop myself from asking. “Did she have a tattoo?”
Phantom gasped, looking directly at me. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“It’s the only thing I can think of. I know she said many times she would never defile her body but if she did. No one would ever think to look. Did anyone see. She was my sister, so it’s something I wouldn’t know.”
“Holy fuck,” Phantom sighed, leaning back in her chair.
“What?” Reaper roared slamming his hand down on the table.
“I need to call the medical examiner and get Kitty’s medical file. He would know. Savage, if she has a tattoo, you know what that means right?”
I nodded, looking away.
I didn’t want to believe it.
I couldn’t.
