I said nothing more as she did so.

Looking at the only female member of the Golden Skulls, I really didn’t know what to make of Phantom. She came to the club when we needed help with my woman and never left. She quickly became an integral part of my family, and going with my gut, I patched her, making her a Golden Sister.

The first of her kind.

I knew very little about Phantom. Though I had Matrix investigate her, most of what he found was classified, and even though Matrix was good at what he did, he could not find anything definitive. With what happened the night before the funeral, I had the kid, Sypher, give it a try, and the folder before me was thick.

Our Golden Sister was more than she let on.

“How have you been?” I asked.

“Okay, I guess.” She replied, not looking at me.

Whatever happened the night before the funeral rattled her. Since that night, she hadn’t been the same. She stayed locked in her little room with all of her computers only coming out to eat. We all knew something was going on, but no one approached her.

I waited for her to come to me, but she never did.

Stubborn women.

I was surrounded by stubborn women.

Shaking my head, I slid the thick folder towards her.

She looked at it but never touched it.

“Do you know what’s in there?”

“Yes.”

“When were you going to tell me?”

“I wasn’t.”

“Do I need to worry?”

“Not yet.”

Leaning forward, I calmly replied, “Lena. My woman is here. There are children in this clubhouse. I can’t help you if you don’t talk to me.”

“There is nothing you can do. What was done is done, and there is no taking it back.”

“That may be true, but you are one of us now. You don’t have to do this alone anymore.”

Tears rolled down her pretty face, and before I could stop myself, I was holding her in my arms as she cried. The thing was, Phantom may be a hard bitch who could easily take care of herself, but when you removed all her armor, she was still a woman. A woman who had been through so much in her life.

Even the strongest of us cried.

“What do you need from me?” I asked, wiping her tears away.

“Time. I will let you know when I am ready.”

“When can I expect your visitor?”

“Soon.”

“Will she cause trouble?”

“Only if one of the brothers fucks with her. She isn’t as nice as me.”
