“Count us in,” Doolittle said.

“My chapter too,” Ravage added.

“Okay,” Ghost said. “When Reaper gets back, we will talk more. Anything else, Phantom?”

“Yes,” she said. “On the screen, gentlemen, is Colin Michael Buchannon, Player’s son.”

My head snapped up, seeing my son on the large screen on the wall. Looking to Phantom, I said, “What the fuck is going on?”

“I’ve been talking with Vicious. As you know, Vicious is a lawyer, though he isn’t currently practicing. Anyway, along with me and your cousin Antonio, well, we’ve come up with a plan to get Colin back. We are going to do it legally.”

“What?” I asked as confused as everyone in the room.

The Golden Skulls didn’t do shit legally.

Ever.

We took what we wanted and said fuck you to the legal system.

Healer, who smiled, walked over to me and said, “Roll up your sleeve.”

“Why?”

“Because he needs your blood. He already has Catarina’s. Healer, don’t forget the cheek swab and hair sample too. I don’t want anything left to chance.” Phantom stated as Healer jabbed a fucking needle in my arm.

“Fucker,” I growled.

Healer just smiled.

“Anyway, like I was saying. We all knew that getting Colin would be hard, and we can’t just go in and grab him because the people who adopted him are connected to some big names in the government. Now, since Colin was technically illegally/legally adopted, Vicious and Antonio can file court documents in D.C. to challenge the adoption because you, Player as the biological father, were not given notice of your son’s birth. Since your name is on his birth certificate, you have a right to challenge for custody.”

“Why can’t I just take him? He’s my son,” I asked, watching Healer fill a couple of vials of my blood. The man seriously loved jabbing needles into people.

“Because if you show up and just take him because of the adoption, you would be kidnapping him. I know none of you like this, but we need to do this legally. We need the courts on our side.”

“They’ve never been before,” Chaos muttered, and I agreed.

“Look, I know this is new to everyone, but this is the only way. First, we need proof that Colin is biologically yours. Gadget was able to sneak in and get us samples of all the kids' hair.”

“What!” I shouted, jerking my arm away from Healer. The vile Healer was holding fell to the ground and shattered.

“Now look what you did,” Healer growled. “I’m gonna have to stick you again.”

“You do, and I will ram that fucking needle up your dick, asshole.”

The room erupted in laughter.

“Phantom. My son.”

“Gadget snuck into the townhouse. He was able to take several pictures and DNA samples. He even left cameras. We have eyes on him twenty-four seven now,” she said, clicking away on her computer. Instantly the screen changed, and I saw a child’s room. Toys everywhere, books lined the walls, and there on the floor playing with a red firetruck sat my son. He was smiling as he pushed the firetruck back and forth.

He was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

In the next instant, the screen changed, and it was nighttime. I could hear him breathing as he slept restlessly. And when he stirred, I saw Gadget walk over to him and kneel before him as he gently soothed my son as he slept. Gadget stayed with him until he was resting peacefully before he disappeared once more.

Tears fell down my face as I watched the screen.

“Gadget hasn’t left Colin’s side since he arrived Player. My brother will not leave him, ever. You have my word. Gadget told me that Colin calls for his momma in his sleep. He remembers her.”
