“Oh, please don’t,” I gasped, turning to him. Pleading with him. There were many things I still hadn’t told Reggie. This was something I never wanted him to know. I couldn’t face him if he ever found out.

I just couldn’t.

“Baby?”

Turning, I spotted Reggie standing in front of me, along with several of the men he was talking to earlier. “What’s going on?”

“Nothing Reggie. I was just talking with Sypher.” I lied too quickly and instantly knew I had made a grave mistake because Reggie had Sypher up by the leather vest he was wearing before I could say anything more. “Is that right, Sypher? Were you both just talking?”

The young man stammered. “No…no…sir. I…I…she….”

The folder dropped from his hands, letting the colored picture float out onto the floor. A brother picked it up and looked at it. When Ghost took the picture and looked at it, he looked at me and said, “Let Sypher go, Player.” Saying nothing, I watched in horror as he showed it to those around him.

Reggie did so.

“Viper, go get Reaper. Shadow, go tell Healer I need him and make sure he brings it. Player, go wait in church.”

“I’m not leaving until someone tells me what the fuck is going on.”

Before I could say anything, three of the men grabbed Reggie and dragged him, kicking and screaming into another room. Left alone with Ghost, I looked up at him as tears flowed down my face.

There was nothing I could do to stop what was about to happen.

Shame and disgust filled my veins.

I couldn’t stay here.

He would soon know and never want to see me again.

I was never going to hold my son again.

I was about to lose everything.

“We’re you ever going to tell him?” Ghost asked.

I slowly shook my head no.

I had planned on taking it to my grave.

It was my shame, my burden to bear.

Just then, Massacre walked into the clubhouse. Seeing the tension, he walked over and stood next to Ghost, who handed him the picture, and when he looked at it, I lowered my head, waiting for his condemnation.

“Where’s my brother?”

“In church with Hammer, Chaos, and Bayou. Viper went to get Reaper.”

“I’m here. What?” Healer said, walking into the room with another man behind him.

“Did he see this?” Dwayne asked Ghost.

“No. I wanted to talk to Catarina first before we showed him.”

Dwayne sighed and knelt before me. Placing his hand on my knee, he asked, “Why didn’t you say anything, sweetheart?”

Tears ran freely as I just looked at the young baby in my arms.

I couldn’t form any words.
