I knew that voice. Turning quickly, I gasped, seeing Luciano standing next to another man. I hadn’t seen anyone from the family in years, and yet, there he was. Standing in Reggie’s room. And when Luciano opened his arms, I didn’t think. I ran into them and cried, “I’m so sorry, Luc. So sorry.”

“Why are you apologizing, sweet girl? You did nothing wrong.”

“Didn’t I? If I hadn’t talked Reggie into having sex with me, Angelo would have never found us. I would have never gotten pregnant, never been sent to Italy, and sold. Reggie and I would have finished college, and we’d both still be in Chicago. Everything changed because I loved Reggie so much.”

The other man chuckled, “Damn, she’s just like him.”

“It seems like it, Reaper.” Luciano replied, then added, “Catarina, this self-sabotage the both of you are feeling, you both need to release it fast because there is a little boy out there that needs the both of you. You both need to help all of us find Colin.”

“Who’s Colin?”

I froze.

“Who’s Colin?” I asked, standing before my President, Luc, and Cat. None of them said a damn word as they all looked at me. It was almost as if they were gauging how I was going to react. To what I didn’t know, but with how I was feeling, someone better say something fast because I was in no fucking mood for games.

I knew shit was sideways, and I was dealing with everything as best as I could. I just needed a few minutes to get my head right. I wasn’t homicidal as my brothers believed.

I wasn’t that far gone yet.

“Someone better say something fucking fast, and Luc, get your fucking hands off her.”

“You better do as he says,” Reaper said, stepping between them and me. “Player, where is your head?”

“It’s fucked up. Who is Colin?”

“Why don’t we go talk in Church.”

“No.”

“That wasn’t a request, Player.”

Standing my ground, I didn’t move an inch when I asked again, “I don’t give a fuck. Who’s Colin?”

Reaper sighed. “Okay, Player, if this is how you want to play it, so be it. Luciano, can you please take Catarina out of the room. Player and I need to talk, alone.”

I said nothing as I never took my eyes off Reaper. And when Luciano escorted Catarina out of the room, I heard several of my brothers walk in, closing and locking the door behind them.

Looking around, I grinned and taunted the lion in the room, “Scared of something, Reaper?”

“Of you, no,” Reaper smirked. “However, with what I’m about to tell you, I thought it best if you had more than one punching bag. My face still hurts from the last beating you gave me.”

“Who’s Colin?”

“He’s your son.”

And that’s when everything went red. Before I could stop myself, I was hitting everything in sight. My brothers tried to contain my rage, but all it did was stoke my anger as I tore my room apart as if it was nothing more than a child’s dollhouse. Grabbing my desk chair, I threw it through the window, glass shattering everywhere, barely missing Viper, who ducked just in time.

Nothing and no one was off-limits.

The rage I had tried so hard to contain had been freed.

Seeing nothing but blood, I turned my attention to the one man who I admired above everyone else. Yet when I looked at him, all I saw was the man who cost me everything. The man who took away my life. The man who destroyed every bit of happiness I had. I wanted him dead, and he was now standing before me, and I was going to kill him with my bare hands.

“I know that look. Healer, you’re up.”
