“Time to move,” the fat man said, walking out of a backroom, wiping white powder from his nose as he scratched his crotch.

I didn’t know what was happening, yet the man with the scar grabbed my arm tightly, yanking me to my feet. “You’re riding with me bitch.”

Looking for Grimm, I couldn’t see him as I was dragged from the tiny house. I was roughly put on the back of a bike as the man with the scar climbed on in front of me. Within seconds, we were racing down the road, further away from Balthazar.

Wherever we were heading, the trip didn’t last long because soon enough, I silently watched as they all pulled onto an airport runway. I didn’t know where I was, but I could tell something was about to happen when I watched a large plane slowly move from the hanger not far from us. None of the men got off their bikes. Looking around, I spotted Grimm behind me. He didn’t say anything. Never looking at me, only his phone.

When I saw the plane stop and the door open, I turned to see my father, along with another man I never met, step off the plane.

“No,” I whispered, trying to get off the bike. I wasn’t going back. No. Not ever. I managed to get both feet planted before a strong arm stopped me from moving further. “Please!” I screamed. “Let me go!”

“Shut her the fuck up!” the fat man roared, as the man with the scar punch me so hard, I saw stars.

“Grimm.” I vaguely heard the fat man say.

I saw Grimm stand and walk over to my father and the other man. A few minutes later, my father walked back into the plane only to return minutes later with four women, one dressed exactly like me.

The fat man laughed as he got off his bike. “Well, well, well. Now, ain’t you a sight for sore eyes, girl.”

“Fuck off, Vain.” One of the women said, spitting on the fat man.

Vain slapped her. Her lip split, and blood trickled down her chin. She grinned. “Is that the best you’ve got, you sick fat fuck. Touch me again, and I will slit your fucking throat.”

“Jekyll,” Vain growled. “Your woman just threatened me.”

The man with the scar, Jekyll, grabbed my arm, yanking me towards the other woman. Her eyes widened in fear. Yeah, I was afraid of him too, but this woman seemed to know him. When Jekyll reached for her, Grimm grabbed her and shook his head. “Yours’s for mine, asshole.”

“Vain!” a man shouted. “We got company. Slither saw the Skulls just enter the airport!”

“Fuck!” the fat man shouted. “Scatter!”

Bikes roared to life as men quickly fled. Jekyll lifted me off my feet and ran for his bike. Instantly we were moving. Turning, I watched as Grimm took the woman with the split lip and left. The man in the suit ran towards the hanger and disappeared behind a door, leaving my father as he ushered the other women back onto the plane.

Off in the distance, I saw him.

My Baltazar.

Screaming his name, I prayed he would hear me, but I knew it was impossible with all the planes. Suddenly the bike stopped behind a large brick building. We were far enough away to see but not be heard. I sat there frozen as I watched Baltazar drop his bike and run for the plane my father was on as it moved along the runaway. The second the plane’s wheels left the ground, it exploded.

Baltazar was thrown back several feet, landing hard on his back, along with several others.

I screamed.

“Scream all ya want bitch. Your dead now.” Vain laughed. “Let’s go. We need to find Grimm and get your bitch back.”

I should have been upset to see my father die, along with those innocent women, but all I could think about was Balthazar. I know what he felt when he ran towards that plane. He thought I was on it. I should have been, but I wasn’t. Instead, those poor women died.

I didn’t know what I was going to do.

There was no way he would search for me now.

To him, I was dead.

It was dark when we arrived back at the other clubhouse, as I was placed in the same spot I was before this whole nightmare began. Men were yelling as they reached for bottles of liquor.

“I want my woman, Vain.”

“And you’ll get her Jekyll. I just need to call Grimm.”
