It was laying there, staring at me from the table.

A file on my brother Malachi.

It was thick too.

Reaching for it, I opened it up and read.

I was going to be sick.

Running for the door, I flung it open just as I wretched violently. Coughing, I spit a few times, willing my stomach to stop rebelling. What I read, the pictures, my sisters…FUCK!

“Yeah, I did the same thing when I heard,” Shadow said, handing me a rag. I wiped my mouth and looked at my youngest brother, lightly shaking my head. “It can’t be true.”

“I know. I thought the same thing too, but it’s all true.”

“How could dad allow him to live in the club? To work for the club?”

“I don’t know Baltazar. All I know is he is out there right now. He took Ari right out of your hands, without even thinking what it would do to you. He’s working with the Black Vultures. He had to know those crimes alone would get him killed but doing what he did to our sisters, that alone he deserves much worse than what any of us can do to him.”

“I don’t know if I can kill him, Ezekiel.”

“I can,” My brother said firmly. “He raped my sisters. I’ll do it with my bare hands if I have to.”

“Neither of you are killing him. We will,” Reaper said from behind us. Turning, I saw all of them—every brother who made the journey to get to this place. The only ones missing were Savage and Bullseye as they kept a watchful eye on the girls. My girl. My woman. My wife. “He deserves the Golden Skull, and that’s exactly what he’s going to get.”

It had been years since the club issued that kind of kill order. I knew if Hellhound wasn’t shot dead after he took Remi, Reaper would have given the order. Hell, the last time a President issued a Golden Skull was when a brother raped and killed another brother’s wife after the brother turned him in for stealing from the club.

“Savage is about to check-in. Let’s go.”

Neither Shadow nor I said anything more as we followed the others back into the warehouse.

“Player, bring up the link.”

Within seconds, we were all standing around Player as he connected to Savage. Looking at the computer screen, all I could see was static, then Savage appeared. Though I was happy to see him, he was not who I needed to see.

“Where is she? I need to see her,” I growled. Instantly the camera panned around, showing me a small house located deep in the woods. Zooming in, there she was. Sitting on a rocking chair on the front porch, silently crying.

My Ari.

I growled when I saw a bruise on her cheek, but other than that, she looked fine. I couldn’t believe it. Gasping for air, I faltered, damn near falling to my knees, seeing her. She was alive. Shadow and Reaper both grabbed my shoulder, squeezing a bit as tears fell down my cheek.

I was mesmerized by her. I wanted so much to go to her right now. I was about to say that very thing when Malachi walked out onto the front porch and slapped my woman across the face, knocking her to the floor. He then grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into the cabin.

“That bastard,” I heard Savage say.

That mother fucker just touched my wife!

It took several of the brothers to stop me from leaving right then and there. God, I was going to kill him. I was going to cut his fucking hands off and feed them to him while I gutted him from sternum to navel! That bastard was a dead soul walking. How dare he put his hands on my wife. My own fucking brother. I didn’t recognize him. He wasn’t the man I grew up with. He was nothing but a stranger to me now.

“I’m gonna kill him,” I growled.

“Later,” Reaper said. “Savage, can you get any closer?”

“No, he’s got the place rigged. Bullseye found a few land mines scattered around the north side of the house and marked their locations. I tried coming in from the south, but he’s got razor wire strewn all through the trees. The only way in is through the main drive. He’d see me coming for sure.”

“Then he knows we're here,” Reaper said as most of us nodded in agreement.

“That would be my guess as well,” Savage agreed, then growled. “She’s screaming. I can hear her from here. What do you want me to do?”
