“Fuck,” I breathed, my eyes straying to the liquor on the sideboard.
Chapter 19
Lucas
As much as I would have liked to drown out that feeling with some good whiskey, there was more of a pressing need in this house, one that I hadn’t seen for hours.
I wanted to know what Leda was doing. I wanted to know how she had spent her day and if she was plotting my death yet or not.
Knowing her, she probably had it all laid out, and hell, I liked the viciousness. I didn’t want to like anything about her. I wanted her to remain the enemy, to use her and throw her aside like the plan had been all along. I wanted to fuck her and move on, let her think that she was nothing more than trash to me, a means to get back at her father.
I no longer had any of those plans. Hell, I didn’t even know what the plan was at this point.
Maybe I should cut ties with her, sell her off to the highest bidder and forget I ever crossed paths with her. In the few short hours she had been in my presence, she had caused more trouble than she was worth, frankly. She had escaped, made me do things that—well, I liked those things. I liked them a lot.
Yet I still hadn’t taken her completely, and that was the reason she would stay. I wanted to taste all of what Leda could offer me, the passion that I had just gotten a glimpse of when I had spanked her and shoved my cock into her mouth.
I wanted to have her beg for me, beg for my cock and know that I had her under my complete control. If I sold her now, I wouldn’t have that chance.
My cock throbbed painfully as I thought about my next steps. For some unknown reason I was looking at taking this slow, drawing it out so that when I finally did fuck Leda, it would be a culmination of pleasure and pain that she hadn’t felt before. I liked the fear in her eyes, but I also liked the fight she was going to give me.
I wanted her to fight me. There had been a point in the beginning when I had planned this little snatch and grab when I had wanted someone who was scared of their own shadow, something that would be easily broken and easy to walk away from.
Now, though, I didn’t want that. I wanted her to give me everything she had, for it would be far more satisfying breaking a wild woman than someone who laid down and let me do whatever I wanted.
My eyes drifted to the ceiling as the late afternoon rays started to darken the office. Perhaps I would try and bring her around again, see how far I could push her before she gave in. Her orgasm had been easily accomplished, but I wanted more.
I craved more from Leda.
One thing was for certain; I wasn’t about to give her up to anyone, not even her father, not until I had my fill of the Mafia princess.
For there would be a time I would be ready to push her aside and move forward, but we weren’t to that point now.
I was about to show Leda what it meant to come up against Don Valentino and how much I could show her before she was begging at my feet, wanting no one or nothing else but me.
A grin crossed my lips and I pushed out of the chair, my thoughts in motion. Last night she surprised me, but I was onto her game now.
And this would be a game that I’d thoroughly enjoy.
Leda wouldn’t know what hit her until I have her pinned under me.
When it would be too fucking late.
Chapter 20
Leda
I picked at the comforter with my fingers, watching as the sun started to sink in the sky. Another day down. Was the word now out to Nico that I had been purchased by Don Valentino? Was he starting to scramble resources to find me?
Was my father aware of what had transpired? Did he even care?
I traded one prison for another. But this time, there was no ending that I could see.
Sighing, I moved off the bed and crossed the room for what seemed like the hundredth time today, wishing there was something—anything—else that I could do. There were no books, no TV, nothing to keep me entertained in this room. And I wasn’t stupid enough to step outside of it on the off-chance that this would be another one of Valentino’s tests.
The only interaction I had had today was the guard that had brought me my lunch, which had consisted of a salad and the best salmon I had tasted in quite a while.
I briefly thought about throwing it against the wall and demanding to see Valentino, but my hunger won out in the end and I devoured the food.
