We make small talk around the table while dad slices and serves.
“Looks wonderful, Mom,” Dani says, lifting her fork, cutting a few pieces and placing them on DJ’s plate.Nicki rounds the table, topping off everyone’s drink, and then sits next to Diesel.
“I want to thank you all for having me,” Xander nods toward my Mom and Dad.
