As much as I wanted to make love to her forever, I couldn't hold back.
I moved faster and faster, pulling almost out and driving back in hard and fast.
"Please. Don't. Stop," Jade breathed out, grasping the sheets in ecstasy.
She lifted her hips to meet mine, and we moved in perfect rhythm. I grabbed her hips to steady myself as I pounded into her.
Soon, I could feel her tighten around me. Her hands moved to my shoulders again and clawed my back, her hips moving wildly against mine.
"Michael!" she shouted as she came, her head thrown back and breasts heaving.
I could feel the electricity take over every cell in my body. The currents coursed through my body, igniting every fiber of my being, and I erupted inside her. I grunted as I rode the wave of my orgasm, then collapsed on top of her. Our breaths melded together as we panted, a thin sheen of sweat coating our bodies.
Once we could breathe again, I pulled her close to me, holding her tight against my body.
She fell asleep quickly.
Smiling, I listened to her soft snores and stroked her hair.
Our son was sleeping soundly in his room, and I was holding this beautiful woman in my arms, who had turned my world upside down. I was certain that life couldn't get any better than this.

I looked up from my computer and stretched, rolling my shoulders around in circles, trying to ease the tension out of my muscles.
"If I keep leaning over my computer all day like this, I'm going to become a hunchback," I told myself, rubbing my lower back.
Heading to the kitchen, I refilled my sweet tea and grabbed a cinnamon roll. I leaned against the cabinets and thought about my relationship with Michael.
Life had fallen into a steady groove for us. Many people might consider our relationship mundane, predictable, and boring, which was perfectly fine for me. It felt safe. My entire life had been hectic, starting with my mother's death, Dad's drinking, and trying to raise Sage. I didn't know what would happen from one day to the next.
I smiled with contentment and satisfaction as I thought about my life.
Michael always got up first. He would head into the kitchen and start the coffee, likely something he had done since he moved out on his own. He was a man who needed his daily cup of caffeine in the morning.
Occasionally, he even made breakfast, which usually consisted of putting some frozen waffles into the toaster and pouring a glass of milk for Robin. It wasn't gourmet, but it was a start.
I was usually the one who got Robin out of bed and ushered him into the kitchen. It seems the one thing he didn't inherit from his father was being an early riser. While Michael was up and ready to go by six, Robin would prefer to sleep in until at least nine – ten if he could get away with it.
We all would do what we needed during the day, whether it was work, school, or running errands. Then, at night, we gathered together for a family dinner, watched a movie, or played a game, and then it was time for Robin to go to bed.
Although we still hadn't put a name to their relationship, it was obvious that we had the beginnings of something very strong.
Sometimes, after Robin went to bed, Michael and I would sit on the balcony and watch the moon and stars. He told stories about his childhood, and I learned that as rigid and uptight as he seemed, he had a mischievous side, too.
Other times, we would talk and make love.
We were getting closer, as a family and as a couple, and I was excited.
I shook my head and then reminded myself that I needed to get to work instead of thinking about Michael and Robin all day.
An annoying voice reminded me that all I had to do was ask Michael for help. He would gladly whip out his checkbook and get everything taken care of. He wouldn't even notice that the money was missing from his account.
However, my pride stepped in and put its foot down. There was no way I would go to Michael for help. My bills were my problem, and I was going to solve them myself.
I could hear Tammie's word echoing in my brain –hubris.
