“Yeah, you’re right. Talking this to death won’t change anything,” she conceded. “Anyone have anything happy or positive?”
“Ave in that bathing suit,” Sky muttered. I shot him a glare, and he just smiled. “What? It makes me very happy.”
“And I’m positive you should keep it,” Noah added with his signature grin.
“Boys.” CeeCee shook her head.
“I envy you.” Gwyneth sighed with a pointed look at her old friend.
I glanced between them. “What do you mean?”
CeeCee sunk into the water. “Oh.”
“Nothing,” Gwyneth cut in.
“CeeCee’s bi. She tends to prefer girls through,” Gavin said from the other side of the hot tub.
I stared at him, then looked at her next to me. “Really?”
She nodded, looking uncertain.
“How did you know?” I asked Gavin.
“She told me,” he said.
The other guys seemed shocked by this.
“Did you have permission to tell us?” I asked. I couldn't believe he would share her secret like that.
“I actually asked him to. I didn’t know how to tell everyone, so I thought it would be easier if he did,” CeeCee admitted.
“Cool.” Vince nodded.
“Are you dating anyone?” Sky asked.
She shook her head. “Not right now. My ex-girlfriend and I recently broke up.”
I shared a look with Gwyneth, and she winked. She must have been in on the plan.
“Thanks for telling us, CeeCee,” I said
She smiled. “Thanks for not making a big deal about it.”
“What’s weirder: you being attracted to both sexes or me dating five guys at the same time?” I teased, and she laughed.
“Fair enough.”
I was glad she felt comfortable telling us. It just proved even more that we were becoming real friends—something I’d desperately wanted for so long.
“In other news, school’s out in a few weeks. Anyone have plans?” Luca asked.
Gwyneth started in about a trip to the Caribbean her dad booked, and I allowed myself to relax enough to enjoy the warm water and the jet aimed at my lower back.
