“Or you can stay at your mom’s house,” Vince suggested.
“Yeah, those both sound like good ideas. I just have to figure out how to get my dad on board without tipping him off.”
“You don’t want to tell him?” Noah asked.
“Not until I know for sure. I don’t want to ruin their relationship if it's just a misunderstanding. Until we have concrete proof she’s involved in a plot against me or the Society, I want to keep him out of it.”
He frowned but nodded.
“Let’s head home. You guys stink.” I smiled in an attempt to lighten the mood, and thankfully, it worked. They started teasing each other while I grabbed my bag and followed Gavin to his car.
