“You fucking dirty rat!” Sabbath screamed, right before he put a bullet in Fox’s pathetic head. I told him not to trust him. There was something about the Prospect’s shifty eyes that had me on edge. It’s why I named him Fox… conniving, smart, cunning, and always up to no good.

“Pity, now I’ll have to buy off another one of your men to feed me your secrets.”

“My club isn’t for sale,” Sabbath bit out, his face turning an angry purple color.

“No? Hmm, I beg to differ. With the right compensation, any man can be bought, even your wounded little bird over there.” He eyed my bleeding arm and smirked. “Might want to get that checked out. You look like you’re losing a lot of blood.”

“Fuck you,” I gritted out.

Hoax ignored my comment and turned back toward Sabbath. “I want your gun business and I want the girl. Give me those two things and you and your silly, little club can leave here alive.”

Sabbath’s eyes softened.

Was he referring to Shasta?

“My girl isn’t for sale,” Sabbath growled, taking a protective stance.

He looked ready to make some stupid decisions and come out of here guns blazing… But before he could cock back his trigger, we all froze, hearing the same sound that every biker despised.

Sirens.

“PIGS!” a prospect shouted from the door. “Coming in hot!”

“Fuck,” Hoax growled as he looked at his men. “This isn’t over, Sabby. I’ll be back again, and when I do, I’m claiming what has always been rightfully mine—Shasta.”

“Over my dead body,” Sabbath growled.

“Don’t worry, Sabby. That’s going to be arranged very soon. And once your body is lying cold on the ground like these German bastards, I’ll be taking my girl back, and make her pay for choosing you over me.” He shot me an evil look, his smile pulling sinisterly. “See ya later, wounded bird.”

“Fuck off, asshole,” I snapped.

Then they were gone, leaving us there with a dejected shipment of illegal guns and a bunch of cold bodies.

“What do we do?” Ranger asked, eyeing the merchandise and the body count on the ground.

Sabbath wasn’t the kind of man who would leave a bunch of guns in a warehouse like this, but he had no choice. It was either drop the shipment and pray the cops didn’t find it, or stay and pay the consequences.

The answer was simple and one that we only had a second to make.

Chapter Nine

Shasta

The sheer force of my vicious slap, echoed violently across the room. The one girl who I thought was my only friend, dumped the biggest bombshell on me like it was nothing.

Tears stung Ramona’s eyes as she rubbed at her cheek. “I guess I deserved that,” she mumbled weakly.

“Why?” I growled, ready to tackle her to the floor and wipe her face with it.

“My reason wasn’t like theirs,” she whispered quietly, motioning to the girls who were now gathering in the common room around a couple prospects. “I didn’t do it to spite you… I was…” she paused, even more water forming over her eyes. “I was forced.”

“Forced?”

“Sabbath said if I didn’t fuck him, he would tell everyone my secret…”

“Secret?”

She nodded, hanging her head in shame.
