My heart fluttered. “I love you too, bumblebee. Come on. Let’s get your clothes. Vin is in the closet, having a field day I’m sure.”
She chuckled, and I wiped the last of her tears away.
“It’ll be OK. I promise.”
She gave me a grateful look that filled my heart.
She trusted me. I had to make sure everything was OK because the thought of it not being broke my damn heart. I wanted the world for her. And I’d do whatever I could to give it to her.
CHAPTER23
Vincent
Ifinished my drink and stared at B’s ass as it swayed to the music. She leaned against the railing of the dip house, watching the bonfires blazing, the orange glow illuminating her beautiful face.
I’d gone with a little, black one-piece short outfit that hugged her perfect ass and had a low plunging neckline. I’d paired her sexy as hell knee high boots with it. I knew we had to walk through the woods to get to the dip, but I wasn’t going to hesitate to carry her. I didn’t need to though. Levin swooped in and offered to give her a piggyback ride. It worked out because I walked behind and took in her ass from that angle instead.
Aubrey said something to her which made her smile. I liked Aubrey. I hoped she stuck around in B’s life.
“Want to dance?” Stella asked, sauntering up to me.
“Shouldn’t you be riding some lord dick?” I asked, grabbing another glass of beer from the keg.
“I think we should dance, Vincent,” she said, her voice firm. “Make it look believable. I’ve been sent over here to get information from you by Hail. He thinks you’re wasted, and there are rumors the kings are having issues with their girl.”
I snorted and raised a brow at her. “You’re kidding, right?”
“Nope.” She stepped closer. “But I’m the one with information for you, so you might want to listen. I’d go to Dom, but I can’t imagine he’d play along considering he has a wife and all that and the rumors are probably just that: rumors.”
I studied her for a moment, deciding that telling her Dom and B really were having some issues wasn’t something I needed to confirm.
“So what information do you need to get from me?” I asked as she reached out and twisted her fingers in my dark t-shirt, her body entirely too close to me.
“Anything. Just give me something to take back to them,” she said into my ear. I knew to anyone looking, we’d appear to really be in the moment. B was not going to like this.
“Give me a minute, OK?” I said softly, my eyes locked on B’s ass again. “Meet me down at the bonfire in five.”
“Three if you can make it happen. Five may be too late. And look drunk and desperate. It’ll look believable that way.” She released me and sashayed away.
I glanced back at Dom to see him and Levin talking to a couple of guys from the court. They weren’t the ones I needed to convince.
“B?” I wound my arms around her waist and kissed along her neck.
“Mm.” She responded by wiggling her luscious ass against my crotch.
“Fuck, B. Don’t do that right now. I have to go do some work and I won’t be able to concentrate if you’ve got my dick hard, baby.”
She turned in my arms and looked up at me as Aubrey slid down a little and gave us some space.
“Stella just told me Hail sent her to get information from me. I’m going to go dance with her and make it look real. It seems important. I don’t want you to go clawing any eyes out.”
“What?” She snarled.
“B, you know you’re my girl. I promise it’s just business, OK? Nothing shitty is going to happen. We’ll make it look real. I’ll lead her away like I’m going to fuck her. There will be no fucking. We’ll meet you around back in fifteen, OK?”
A muscle thrummed along her jaw. “Fine. But you’re going to owe me so much later.”
“I’ll eat your pussy out until you’re screaming to the devil for mercy, baby. That’s a promise.” I pressed my lips to hers and she bit me, letting me know she was pissed.
