“Grab your overnight bag,” Vincent instructed as we stopped at mine and Dominic’s room.
Dominic wordlessly opened the door and stepped inside.
“I’ll wait in my room,” Vincent said, giving a nod to Dominic.
“What about you?” I asked Levin as he stopped behind Vincent.
“I’ll, uh, see you later, bumblebee.” He shuffled around Vincent and placed a kiss on my cheek.
I frowned as he turned and marched down the hall to his room. Vincent raised a brow at me and nodded to my room again.
I went inside and closed the door behind me. Quietly, I went to my dresser and pulled out my pajamas.
A squeak left my lips as my pajamas were torn from my hand, and Dominic roughly spun me around to face him.
I stared up at him, taking in his troubled look and his parted lips.
“You really fucking pissed me off tonight,” he said softly, his breath feathering over my face.
I swallowed as I continued to stare at him
“And I know I really pissed you off too,” he continued just as quietly.
“You did,” I whispered.
“I know.” He breathed out. “I’m really proud of you, Bianca.”
“What?” I blinked at him, confused if I’d heard him correctly.
“Even if you’d have never come to me for help, I know I’d have eventually come to you. You were meant to be my wife. My lover. My everything. I love you.”
“I love you too,” I said, feeling stunned.
He rested his forehead against mine and breathed out again.
“You’re a beautiful hurricane, mia regina. I’m so fortunate you came crashing into my world.” He paused for a moment. “Go. Have fun with Vin. Come home to me in the morning.”
“I will,” I promised, pressing my lips against his.
He gave me a slow, gentle kiss that was uncharacteristic for him before pulling away and taking my pajamas with him.
“I need those—”
He chuckled and handed me a red, silk robe. “You really don’t. Take your clothes off for me.”
I hesitated before removing my clothes, my body heating as his gaze skirted over me. He didn’t move toward me. He simply watched.
I slid the robe over my body and tied the front. He stepped forward and fluffed my hair and adjusted everything.
“Perfect,” he murmured then kissed my forehead. “Go. Tell Vin he owes me for my kindness.”
“I will.”
Dominic followed me to the door and opened it for me. I stepped out and sauntered toward Vincent’s room, knowing Dominic was leaning against the doorjamb watching. When I reached Vincent’s door, I knocked.
He opened it immediately, a grin lighting up his face before he tugged me inside. I glanced at Dominic before I fell into Vincent’s arms and took note of the small smile on his lips.
He was getting better.
